13/11/2014 20:46 | Yes.. So thats total of 23.8p dividends for the year. at the Current price ASY is yielding 7% Not to be sniffed at. | thelongandtheshortandthetall
07/11/2014 15:04 | Seems Sykes went XD yesterday ... DYOR etc. | ignoble
05/11/2014 17:16 | I think ignoble hit the nail on the head. If you want some stock you've got to pay for it. ASY leaps market cap wise by millions on £50k of stock being purchased. I think ASY is a great business to invest in for the long term. I really don't care about new highs and everything I would rather it went down to 300p again so I could slowly buy more as funds become available. Thorpematt does have a very valid point. When first looking into ASY I kind of assumed we were going to have record breaking weather events every season. However that isn't really going to happen. But I think ASY will tick along a grow at a steady pace. Kind regards to all | thelongandtheshortandthetall
05/11/2014 15:32 | Does make you think ,Keith ... Somebody certainly appears to want the stock , I'm not complaining ! | ignoble
05/11/2014 14:27 | Anyone have any ideas why these shares should return to pre-interims level (almost) even though the Middle East and Netherlands were doing fairly badly with no upturn in sight and the under-performance of the uk a/c hire/sales was continuing into September? The interims were 50% down. Don't understand, unless something else is afoot. | keithfox
03/11/2014 08:48 | Can't disagree with your thoughts ...hopefully , more upside to come plus our dividend in early December. Time will tell , as ever | ignoble
01/11/2014 16:35 | I took a small long position on that dip. I'd have had more but it's not easy to buy in volume. I value this at close to £4 so there's fair upside from here IMO. Mostly the update discussed the weather. Of course climate and weather are different things and so its wise to be wary against the back-drop of some statistically significant record breaking numbers of late. That said i think the change in climate will present more opportunities than it will obstacles and threats. (I call these tail-winds). | thorpematt
31/10/2014 20:59 | Sadly not ! | ignoble
31/10/2014 19:27 | Wonder if anyone else took the op to top up recently. A nice snowy blizzard would help us along. | thelongandtheshortandthetall
31/10/2014 09:27 | Here we go again ...Internet forecasting record cold winter due to the weak Jetstream ... Roll on December, Sykes dividend which will be welcome, as always | ignoble
13/10/2014 16:20 | Yup , I noticed that. Hope all is well Keith...if this rain keeps up , the pumps will have an early start ! Regards | ignoble
01/10/2014 11:30 | Well, at least London Security have come up with some good results, although no interirm dividend oddly. | keithfox
29/9/2014 07:35 | They keep saying they will become less weather relaint but how can you when you deal in pumps/heaters/aircon | keithfox
28/9/2014 16:54 | A rare kick in the goolies from ASY. I thought performance would not be as weather reliant as previous years but apparently not so. Piece of good news is that the company will save nearly £1 million a year in pension contributions from next year. So I'll hold for the divi and better times...or rather worse weather. | jeff h
26/9/2014 22:59 | Blimey - no sign of that one beforehand - not even in the tea leaves Cant find any f'cast data anywhere | luckymouse
26/9/2014 14:47 | Howdy Keith, Divi welcome and a pick up in Europe would be appreciated. Time will tell ,as always. Stock has a had a great run ,guess it was always going to correct at some point. Regards | ignoble
26/9/2014 14:36 | out for now | gucci
26/9/2014 13:21 | Hi, anybody have forecast info for 2014/2015? None on Digital look Thx | kimball808
26/9/2014 10:47 | You can cry on my shoulder if you like ignoble! Actually, the 2 things that I don't understand are the decrease in net funds (but they have been dishing out a lot of divi's I suppose) and the outlook. If it's been disappointing so far and the future weather is unknown, it seems quite optimistic to say a satisfactory outcome is expected. I reckon they did quite well in July as it was only marginally less warm than last year, so they have already done some reasonable trade in thge second half, enough to go with the 'satisfactory' bit. They are obviously disappointed that it didn't last into August though. If I had been quicker off the mark I woiuld have picked some more up at 270p. and with a 12p divi in that. Never mind. I've ordered a cold winter. | keithfox
26/9/2014 08:11 | Gosh that's falling quickly! Next support at 2.50? | gucci
26/9/2014 08:05 | Possibly come down to 300p Market is very nervous at the moment | gucci
26/9/2014 07:55 | But at least a decent divi again. The very mild winter had a bad impact and the cool August ditto. | keithfox
26/9/2014 07:54 | Curious. Outlook seems buoyant/ "cautiously optimistic that the group will return a satisfactory performance for remainder of 2014" Despite poorer H1 performance, interim dividend massively increase to 11.9pence per share (up from 8.9p last June ). Increase by 33%. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
26/9/2014 07:35 | Not so good. | keithfox
24/9/2014 15:19 | But of course, having said that they'll come out tomorrow. | keithfox |
