I have no reason why buying today just like I had no reason for the near doubling of price in the latter part of October.
Nothing specific on Vaca Muerte as far as I can see and the YPF shareprice has gone nowhere in the last 5 days

There must be something going on. Sells every morning then buys every afternoon.

I would be very surprised if AEN went offshore in the GOM; congrats to the person on the ball at the opening who bailed out at 30

Former AEN director Rudolph Berends(RIP) mentioned at a BOIL AGM that there was much interest in Mexican onshore GoM oil fields being released from government control and therefore available to interested parties. He certainly was. Info passed with him.
I wonder if AEN have acquired any fields?

In addition to the company's statement I can find nothing to explain today's rise; I see 277k shares traded and the largest value trade was worth £26k. Given the strong finish I will watch events on Monday am with interest. Did sell a small amount today.

I have no idea what caused the price rise this afternoon; I checked the YPF website to see if there has been any news relating to the Argentine oil industry and nothing; Google revealed nothing and nothing apparently on Interoil.
That having been said I have been surprised that the share price has not reacted to the deval of £; the effective reval of the Arg Peso and rise in international oil prices...not to mention having Sir Michael Rake on board.
Anyone have a view?

LOL. Typical O&G junior. If you just read the first page or 2 you'd think hey not bad. You need to scroll down to the P/L account. Finance costs = 9.5M and loss attributable to equity holders = $8.8M

Perhaps news of the results announced today had leaked and this has caused the share price weekness

Reason for weakness in share price no doubt related to this

If true this would suggest tat those producers wo have no retail business-ie like AEN-are loosing out.

Does this company ever post a profit? You read the results and they highlight the great EBITDA number but then you scroll to the P/L account and the bottom line is always a loss. Every year.

I see that today’s prelims made little impression on the market.
I will wait till the publication of the A report and hopefully the AGM to see if I increase my modest holding.
The current maturities for this year of $22m seem daunting-even if they have repaid the $5m Macquaire loan and do not see how they can increase their trading profit to absorb the finance costs-ie in Argentna an operating profit of $3.5m and finance costs of $8.2m
I hope Wednesday’s meeting with ANH goes as they anticipate and that ANH do not throw the book at them pour encourager les autres
