09/7/2015 08:37 | Mtfb placing shares@50p should be out in the market.hence mtfb share price falling.amp could follow as it's fully diluted holdings of 29% also falling. | baldrick1

24/6/2015 11:38 | Agree with comments on mm2. What concerns me is juat how big the burn is on legal expenses compared to the half year and I assume that that it is continuing at the same pace to date. Also worrying was the highlighting of the splitting of any winnings on successful payment claims. Directors have minority holdings in these I believe and may see this as the cleanest route to syphon funds back to repay their investments.Thirdly the need for the placing was very worrying....they had an institutional loan in place but didn't use it. Instead they did a placing at HALF the then NAV. That makes no sense SO WHY????? My guess is further use of the loan would make a breach of a covenant likely and the 50% discount on the placing reinforces my view that AMP isa highly leveraged all or nothing play on a string of court cases and iclaprim being a big success...thougg its intravenous application will severely limit sales and there is currently a lot of competitive products being developed. SUMM VAL SAR & VER all have one indevelopment and there are loads more over on Nasdaq. All IMHO DYOR | hlp_4u
24/6/2015 08:48 | Mtfb is rising but kmk is falling.once profit takers hit mtfb to try and removes overhang this will be down again imho | baldrick1
24/6/2015 08:40 | The fall is just as quick as the rise | baldrick1
23/6/2015 19:45 | Reading between the lines in the CEO statement, it would appear Amphion are looking to do a deal with m2m which usually means one or two companies are interested in their products and IP. The company was put on the investment back burner in 2008 which halted m2m R&D program. m2m will never be in a position to IPO, so the likely outcome is a M&A. Not sure of valuation with this one. | hoggar
23/6/2015 17:45 | Whilst on the subject of NAV/share...... The other quoted share in the AMP portfolio is Kromek (KMK) which has had a good couple of days, rising from 40p (bid) on June 19th to 48p (bid) at the close today. This corresponds to a NAV increase for AMP of around 0.5p/share (every 16p change in KMK corresponds to a 1p change in NAV for AMP) Therefore taking into account the rise in both KMK and MTFB since June 19th, the NAV for Amphion should be around 11.2p/share based on today's closing prices. | timbo003
23/6/2015 16:45 | thanks dlm2602 My mistake (no spread sheet available earlier) A 7p change in Motif share price corresponds to 1p change in AMP NAV/share, so current NAV is around 10.7p/share based on a closing offer price on Motif of 65p/share I will correct the post above to ensure that mistakes don't multiply. | timbo003
23/6/2015 12:11 | timbo003.... Not sure about your maths. AMP holds 28.3m shares in MTFB. A 5p increase in MTFB share price adds £1.41m to the NAV of AMP. There are currently around 197m shares in AMP. An increase of £1.41m in NAV equates to rise of just 0.7p, or in other words a 7p increase in MTFB should increase the NAV of AMP by 1p. In any event AMP is still a good way into MTFB imho. | dlm2602
