The initial indicative price for the placing was 4.5p, so don't complain too much!

I declined the offer to participate at 5.25p when the underlying price was around 6p (I have enough already), but the missus went for some, she was scaled back by only 4%, so the broker did a very good job at pricing the placing and balancing supply and demand, so well done to Northland.

placing price was agreeded when amp was 6.5p and motif were 40p
so dont read too much into it deal was too far advadanced to change
price.

When there is a fund raising about to be announced there is always the process of spiking share price up and so the newbies get stuck buying high and the placing price is well below the prevailing high share price dyor

I bought a few more because effectively we're seeing yesterday's rise and the previous ones tested, and I think the stock won't be down much - if any - at the end of the day. I don't like tech incubators much because they rarely realise full asset value, but if you apply a 35% discount on all investments and use an underlying benchmark "Phase 3" valuation for Motif of $100M, then a reasonable market price for AMP is in the high 20p per share range. That doesn't take account of Motif fund raising, which will dilute value, or the IP infringement court cases, which would - if won - add value.
