Aminex were targeting the gas sand top at 2420m c.50m deep...

The RNS stated..."At 2596 metres drilling depth the well encountered a gross gas bearing reservoir unit of approximately 51 metres."

Clearly the numbers do not correlate. It works out 227m gross from the base of the NT-2 reservoir announced to the top of the anticipated gas sand.

I'm just worried if the Unicorn doesn't get a mention in the next RNS, it will spark a big sell off :)

There was a rumour that they'd found a Unicorn down the well. Unicorns live on a diet of heavy mud, so it does backup the claims!

If we can rely on these leaks then the picture is pretty consistent pressure wise.

You can't Edgar. Possibly they are right, though I doubt it. Either way you just don't know so you are wasting your time paying attention to them. Trying to make decisions based in info that you have no idea if it's true or not is a recipe for disaster.

TGG

Is there a danger that heavy mud might damage the perforations?

:~)

Thanks, Geraldo. If we can rely on these leaks then the picture is pretty consistent pressure wise.Thats a big if but, to be fair, the warnings of delay to flow testing have been accurate. What I am not clear about is whether the flow tests and analysis news will attempt a stab at the size of the find or not. Any views?

edgar - the higher the downhole pressure, the heavier the mud needed to counter it...

PeterI actually think this might be the perfect trading environmentA company you know a lot about.A share you are confident about.Waiting for transformational news.Limited downside Likely to be range bound until news hits.I still own my main holding but its possible to have some fun (make some money) on a wee side bet.Today suggests a hard bounce back from 5.45 to 7p and we have an earlier interday high of about 7.6p.My plan is not to take money out but to have more AEX shares when news hits. Gawd 'elp me.Good luck!

87m traded, highest level of trading recently, it beats the level reached on the N2 gas discovery announcement.Loads of trades reported after hours too.The MM's sure got plenty of commission today by dropping the price when the RNS arrived. I'm betting there's a load of investors that'll be setting up buy order for the morning, having come home to find their stop loss was hit, then reading the RNS and realising they were shafted by the MM's.
