22/9/2016 17:22 | Directors talking down a prospect size never happens. They do the exact opposite until reeled in by CPR's. They are essentially overpaid taurus merde merchants in this sector | ngms27
22/9/2016 17:19 | I have suspected for a while that Jay B has been talking down the size of NT2. I have based that on the original comments back in 2011-12 about the size of the updip and the fact that NT1 just "clipped it" (or words to that effect). Very happy for expectations to be talked down and result to over-impress. Seems to me the way to go. Of course, all depends on the drill bit now | edgar222
22/9/2016 16:25 | That is indeed what he said, Furthermore he said that KN1 was assesed as having 40BCF and that NT2 was at least 4 x the size - hence even without the vastly increase in reserves (to 1.5TCF) it was a viable economic resource. I too, do wonder whether the 1.5TCF referred to actually includes both NT2 and NT3 BUT if you were to take him at his word he did say NT2.... | stinkypeet
22/9/2016 16:20 | He's confused, bless him. Of course we all know that's N3 | ngms27
22/9/2016 16:12 | Did I hear that right? Ritson saying N2 targeting 1.5 TCF ? | edgar222
22/9/2016 13:33 | As always, change "hxxps" to "https" | vike1
22/9/2016 13:32 | Interview from SOLO today on Ruvuma. Much more interesting than escrow accounts. hxxps://audioboom.co | vike1
21/9/2016 21:55 | Charged, but what then? Details from the ruling: A number of other senior government officials were also charged with corruption at the Kisuturesident magistrate's court over the IPTL escrow account scam. Lawyers representing Standard Chartered Bank at the arbitration accused TANESCO of misleading the ICSID tribunal judges by concealing facts about the payments made from the escrow account to PAP. hxxp://www.kididiale | jskabo
21/9/2016 17:13 | The Tegata escrow scam returns to compound the Tanesco shambles. It should be noted that the escrow money was handed over to PAP with the collusion of Tanesco and that while some CCM politicos and senior civil servants were sacked/resigned and a few minor players arrested, no one has ever appeared in court. The country is rotten to its core. Predictably, not a word of this has appeared so far in the Daily News, the CCM's Pravda. | warbaby43
20/9/2016 19:59 | (How much money is laundered per year?) "By its very nature, money laundering is an illegal activity carried out by criminals which occurs outside of the normal range of economic and financial statistics. Along with some other aspects of underground economic activity, rough estimates have been put forward to give some sense of the scale of the problem." "The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) conducted a study to determine the magnitude of illicit funds generated by drug trafficking and organised crimes and to investigate to what extent these funds are laundered. The report estimates that in 2009, criminal proceeds amounted to 3.6% of global GDP, with 2.7% (or USD 1.6 trillion) being laundered". "This falls within the widely quoted estimate by the International Monetary Fund, who stated in 1998 that the aggregate size of money laundering in the world could be somewhere between two and five percent of the world’s gross domestic product. Using 1998 statistics, these percentages would indicate that money laundering ranged between USD 590 billion and USD 1.5 trillion. At the time, the lower figure was roughly equivalent to the value of the total output of an economy the size of Spain". | blackgold00

20/9/2016 13:48 | Sorry, but London is NOT the global money-laundering centre for the drug trade. | bunbooster2
20/9/2016 13:24 | thanks to TipTop (Tanzania: Gas distribution network project to commence) | blackgold00
20/9/2016 12:17 | its all corrupt warbaby, capitalist commonest religionist. where ever humans seek to dominate, corruption of one form or another seems to seep out. (London is now the global money-laundering centre for the drug trade, says crime expert) | blackgold00
20/9/2016 11:14 | The Jubilee Debt Campaign is largely a bunch of anti capitalist Corbynistas and the lesson that can be drawn from Tanzania and its power sector is that nowhere does corruption flourish more freely and vigorously than in one party, socialist states. | warbaby43

20/9/2016 08:32 | Just shows that there really are no guarantees of anything in Tanzania other than State officials lining their own pockets. | ngms27
20/9/2016 08:25 | This from the 2015 Orca Results: "TANESCO payments for 2015 continued to be irregular. During Q4 2015 TANESCO payments decreased with only US$4.5 million being received against sales of US$11.7 million. As at 31 December 2015 Management has reviewed the current position with TANESCO and feels that the policy implemented in 2014 is still appropriate and as a result, has reclassified a further US$9.8 million, the arrears in excess of 60 days, as long-term debt and has placed a full provision against this. As at the date of this report the total receivable is US$75.4 million." | warbaby43
20/9/2016 07:52 | Bearing in mind that this is Tanzania and not Texas, might be actually getting off the ground around 2030: | warbaby43

20/9/2016 05:50 | Given I'm currently in Spain on reflection it's too much Sun, Sangria and Shagging that went to my head | ngms27
19/9/2016 21:59 | you're always in the sun skin, no probs here, I've just had a pint of Guinness and that had a very well head, lovely and creamy. | blackgold00
19/9/2016 21:23 | Funnily enough, I'm suffering from a not very well head too. Too much sangria in the sun (again) | skinwalker
19/9/2016 16:57 | Does seem like Orca are between a rock and a bad place. Not been paid and now looks like they are going to loose supply when KN-1 comes on stream. I guess they deserve it to some extent for stopping AEX accessing the old pipeline for which AEX stated they had rights of access and even bought the steel for the pipeline that since rotted and was written off in the accounts! | ngms27
19/9/2016 15:10 | An unwellhead Bun? The customers are queuing up to steal it and the TPDC are trying to get underwritten credit to pay. Demand is in the air. I could be wrong but the vibe is that. | gerryjames |
