Can I please remind everyone to stay on topic. While discussion of other companies operating in Tanzania is permitted, discussion of unrelated Equatorial Guinea assets is clearly not of interest here.

The only exception to this rule is for celebrity deaths for obvious reasons.

We're getting OT here, but the issue is clearly will the gas still be stranded and without a market in 2020? Quite possibly not. And in which case there would be value in Ophir. Not that I am piling in now.

Not directly exposed to the oil price
Small-cap Aminex is the odd one out here because it's about to start production of gas rather than oil. The price of the gas Aminex will sell is subject to a pre-negotiated local price in Tanzania, home of the firm's soon-to-be producing asset. As such, the fluctuating price of oil doesn't directly affect the firm, but I think sentiment in the oil and gas sector is so low that it dragged down the firm's shares with the oilers.
Aminex looks set to benefit from much-needed cash flow as imminent production ramps up. However, the company may need to raise further funds to progress its ongoing drilling operations. Nevertheless, at current levels the firm has plenty of upside potential.

See Ophir and it's floating LNG ship aspirations have had a set back with Schlumberger exiting the program. Not profitable enough by the looks of things. They still expect first gas by 2020.

69p low to-day 20% drop. Tempting?

Didn't PJ1 mention something about Sound Energy comming into the picture. Who knows but PJ usually does a lot of ground work and isn't afraid to talk with people. But I'm sure they're all talking in these cash strapped times.
