16/11/2015 17:16 | With regard to LNG, herewith Ophir's presentation from last week on its West African Floating LNG project (doesn't seem to have done owt for its share price though.). A lot of it is pretty technical stuff but there are some mentions of Tanzania in some of the comparisons and the relatively small scale and cost compared with the $30bn+ mentioned for offshore Tanzania might give some food for thought This is the FLNG company whose rationale is "In an era of intense competition in the LNG industry and the high cost and long lead time of land based LNG facilities, Golar LNG Limited believes highly cost efficient approaches based on floating LNG liquefaction, storage and offtake, shipping and regasification facilities of the types now being developed by the company will be key to substantial additional growth opportunities" hxxp://www.golarlng. For us lot though at present, let's just hope they've cobbled enough funding together to re-complete N-1 and drill at least N-2. Bad news if they haven't. | warbaby43
16/11/2015 13:11 | And No surprise at the technology employed given Mataragio was recruited from Bell Geo And wasn't it this technology that Tullow bragged about being successful with in Kenya? | warbaby43

16/11/2015 07:27 | yes, according to the JB time-lines, the middle of the year would have ended at the start of Oct, so we must now be in the 3 month end period of the year. | blackgold00
16/11/2015 07:16 | November 16th - by my calculation 7/8 of 2015 is now behind us. Can anyone tell me if we've yet reached the "middle of the year" point that JB anticipated in an interview a few months back. | lfdkmp
13/11/2015 14:00 | Just one more to add to the many uncertainties hovering over Tanzania's LNG ambitions: Given these LNG uncertainties, what has been puzzling is AEX's shift of attention from the Nyuni Transition Zone and the repeated emphasis expressed in all recent updates on deepwater and the intention to do deep sea seismic (FFS, don't ask with what money) That said, one of the more intriguing bits in the most recent Mr B interview @ 54231 at around 7.15 and in relation to Nyuni and areas "closer to some of these islands, particularly Songo Songo" was "We've got a couple of interesting proposals and ideas right now." Mr B was, however, careful to indicate that these were for the future (hopefully for AEX's acquirer.) | warbaby43
13/11/2015 09:42 | I get it now, lol | blackgold00
