Has anyone noticed a price drop today? Could there be bad news?

I can relax then blackgold, the gsa isn't going to be signed 'quite quickly'. I thought for a moment there that there was going to be a bit of a hurry-up!

so directors/companies can give (price changing inside information) to placees for them to take advantage and invest in the company, but the directors and NEDs of such a company would themselves be prohibited to take advantage of such price changing info. hmm is there loophole here somewhere?

"The option on the second tranche expires after 30 days" after the signing of the GSA.

The option on the second tranche expires after 30 days. Does that mean the gsa will be signed 'quite quickly'?!

have they raised the money to finance the initial purchase or is there a question mark over that as well?

I'd assume they've raised the cash for the first tranche, or at least are know where it would come from, since they have committed to that. Fair to assume that cash for part 2 remains to be raised, and as ngms says they are presumably relying on finding it easier to raise it after the GSA is signed.

Good answer cynical but like blackgold I'd like to know how I join the queue to be approached etc.

Blackgold - it is hardly a new concept? if you are approached about a placing / fundraising, you are told ( or you should be told ) that you are now effectively "on the inside" until such time as announcement is made.

Good old Tanzania - never likely to be far behind when it comes to dodgy deposits in Swiss banks:

Interesting to see that they did have an investigation, predictably unpublished - so far at least.

so the placees gets the info of a signed GSA and an opportunity to invest before any of us gets to hear a word, hmm, seems like easy money to me. two questions, is that legal? and how do you become a placee?

funny that it was presented like it was something new then! good old Ritson.....always good for a laugh........have they raised the money to finance the initial purchase or is there a question mark over that as well?

if Ritson is correct, how come these nice people haven't updated on the gas pipeline?

What Ritson said was old news, it had been in an Aminex interview several days before. It's not the sort of minor, and expected, detail that's worth RNSing. When the pipe is commissioned and/or the GSA is signed will be the time for an RNS.

looka imo like it has gone as far as it is going for the moment....if Ritson is correct, how come these nice people haven't updated on the gas pipeline? strange thst the GSA hasn't been finalised if the pipeline's completion is really imminent? not much point having a pipeline if you haven't secured your supply?

The KN-1 well, when connected to the export pipeline, is expected to produce at least 20 million cubic feet per day. The company announced earlier this month that it has signed an asset purchase agreement with Aminex for the first 6.5% interest in the Kiliwani North Development licence. It has the option to purchase an additional 6.5% interest during a period of 30 days after the gas sales agreement has been approved by the Tanzanian authorities. Neil Ritson, Solo's chairman, said: "As we reach the point of gas commercialisation we are naturally tracking the process very closely and shortly expect to see final hook-up and pressure testing get underway. "With the imminent hook-up we also remain extremely confident that the GSA will be signed in time to commence exports of gas from the field as soon as the facilities are complete." skinwalker, if I take into account my losing trades then mine would be higher as well!

For the record KN-1 WILL NOT make AEX cash flow positive. Just look at the accounts and you will see why...
