Is it just market sentiment for price fall, or is something in the pipeline? sale of Vetra due for completion end of month any other news due?

Thanks both thedudie and ildamiano for your replys.

Of course, the limit on % holding before making a formal offer was designed to stop what I previously described happening.

I agree with you ildamiano. I suppose the key is to hope no one else sells to force Tito & Soros to have to buy the remaining % to the limit at an increase on the current price and to hope the final 11% is succured at a large premium. Your 40-45p guess seems fair given these circumstances.

Crate,

I think that when the shareholding reaches a certain percentage - possibly about 20% - they have to make a formal bid for the company. However,if Tito is in league with Meditor, then they could both buy up to 20% of the company and make it easier to takeover the company. It is very clear that this is what will happen - I'm amazed that private investors aren't taking their lead and buying in. Personally I would guess that the takeover price will be 40-45p, leaving the big boys to make a fortune from the break-up.

I have a concern which may or may not be relevent. I would be happy for someone more informed to tell us that it can not be done but;

If Tito & Soros intend to take their combined shareholding over 51% and then launch a bid to fully take over the Company, could they do this at a nominal increase on the current share price, say 35p, and guarentee success.

Once they take over they could sell any assets that were possible and use the proceeds to reduce debt. Leaving just the Tube PPP stake. They could then buy back the rights to this stake, £60m, and sell the PPP stake to another party, assuming the PPP stake is worth far in excess of £60m.

It may leave the rest of the shareholders with not much gain but themselves with any premium.

You're allowed 30% before having to make an offer which cannot be less than the highest price paid within a certain time frame. Meditor have paid in excess of 70p for some of their holdings and have not bought for months so the conspiracy seems unlikely.

Happening again, little boys out and big boys in.

I think we'll get the bigger picture within the next week or so.

sterling ups again to 13.17%

Along with meditors (?) 15% the activists together now nearing a total of 30% will soon make their play imo

weekend press said breakup would give anywhere between 40p and 70p my guess is top end --- risk/reward ratio not good enough for these funds otherwise

Just thinking out aloud, but if that 238K was a buy, then it would make more sense why they were taking those sells yesterday, in order to fill it.....

Sunday times reports breakup value of AMY worth 40p-70p a share. A bit of a range but all positive from todays price.
