Shame they didn't give a rough idea of cash held end Dec as proposed capex will use most of end Jun16 cash. What did operations add to cash H2? Could another placing be on the cards? Production only 4400bopd with 3200bopd now going via OBA.

So it all kicks off imminently then... only a few months to go ;-)

Why did they not update their slides to reflect the fact that we are not in Q3 2016 anymore (page 27). Does that mean the commentary is equally from the perspective of Q3 2016?

I assume so :-/

If I were giving a presentation and hit a slide that was over six months out of date, I'd be embarrassed.

Looks like a ramp up to 5K is on the cards before work on pump stations?

Outage of 1 intermediate pumping station
• Production uplift short term
• Pumping station to be rehabilitated
• 1 further new pumping station to be constructed (Chiritza)

I'd like to know the words around this part. Is that the order of events? What does short term mean?

Platanillo 22/24 results 17feb - Mar17

24p has been support level for ever so under this price lets you see who's sitting on the sidelines waiting on less for a bargain buy. This would be a true indicator of the popularity of Amer unless the short division get wind????

So much for solid 24p then. Where to from here?
At this price surely the potential takeover candidates should be filling up..?

That is a somewhat facile take on the interview, SS, missing the obvious. GC has no interest whatsoever in the "village idiots" and would sooner think of "appealing" to an amoeba, by all accounts.

The piece was clearly narcissistic, all about the wonderful GC and re-writing the "snout in trough" saga: a shining example of that current buzz phrase, post truth reality.

He likes the persona "serial entrepreneur" and AMER looks to be next on the list: that was addressed to his peer group and not any lower form of life, such as you (or yours truly). You might just see it as "mine's bigger than yours" willy waving, but I pay more attention, because of his previous form: he is undeniably a doer, not a talker and he sees an opportunity here, at this moment in time.

If we are to deal in "farct" it needs to be acknowledged that the peace deal HAS been signed and sealed. What has emerged, kind courtesy of the many links put up by other posters, is just how much the FARC forces had already dwindled in number and that bodes well. From the RNS, it looked to be more the issue of settling down the farmers who are now having their illegal "cash crops" destroyed, rather than FARC engagement.

Get real, Clarke saw a journalist, chucked out the word takeover to appeal to the village idiots around. When there is peace, signed sealed and most importantly delivered, it may be remotely possible. Farct.

Tyler

For those who have followed the Colombian story, they know that targets set in September will have been impacted by the delay in the implementation of the peace process: everyone expected a "yes" at the beginning of October and that got delayed some two months.

What has emerged from the post October RNSs and many of the links put up here by others such as Val, is that this was one of the remaining Farc strongholds and it will therefore be most affected by the immediate post peace events, such as illegal crop destruction.

So let us analyse your complaint.

Should they have set the target in September 2016?

You might disagree, but I would say firstly that on the facts at that point in time, "yes" was the more likely outcome of the vote and secondly, targets which stretch a company are always better than something which is readily achievable without any effort.

Having set the target, should they have felt obligated to roll out their program, even though circumstances had changed?

Again, it would seem from what you are saying, that you believe that they should have pressed ahead, regardless of consequences, even though the peace process timetable and the company timetable were now out of sync.

Unlike you, I see the delay as an intelligent management decision, showing sensitivity to the changed circumstances and likely to pay off in spades shortly.

One of the reasons why I am prepared to cut them some slack is the history. Looking back, you can see that the team is immensely capable and will, once they get a clear run at it, go back to rolling out wells as easily as shelling peas.

As for continually sniveling on about the options, in the same position, how many of the great and good AIM chiefs would have turned them down? The answer, in this age of greed is probably few and possibly none: by all means try and find some examples, but you might have to do quite extensive research.

Just as an aside, GC does sound a thoroughly objectionable character, but hired for his business acumen, rather than punter appeal, if he can roll out another successful disposal, I will join the queue to say thanks for the arm chair ride.
