His exact words are post 8239 on the old CHP thread. I have them printed out and stuck above my PC screen in UK - I should do the same here!!

"For years I used to watch the prices change for about 9 hours a day and then I realised that this did not generally affect the outcome."

Wise words from a respected poster.

Gary Lindsay used to say watching trades was a waste of time. They can also drive you bonkers when it's like this. Someone must know who is buying..

Yes, quite possible, so we need good news in Oba issues being resolved, more spudding and drilling success with FLOW results and Oba throughout increasing!

Patience wearing thin now when other medium term opportunities could be a lot better e.g. iAE, HUR, SDx, Pmo, etc

My theory is that Michinoko is dripping shares in at 29p and another connected entity is snapping them up. This explains the volumes but neutral share price movement. I could be wrong, my wife reckons that's my default setting.

Loads of other areas not yet drilled yet Trotts as you are aware.
Unless they start drilling these sharpish they won't know if there's any oil let alone be able to calculate how much.

Looking good for a breakout ,,,val,,,their drilling on the edge ,finding oil,,then drilling back towards the sweet spots ,,,enables them to estimate oil in place for a sale ?...

Some appeared to be disappointed in the 400bpd at the northern end of the platanillo block. For me it means the remaining drills out of 55 sites planned will hit oil. What is average bdp x 55? Half a million per day, when completed?
'We're gonna need a bigger oleoducto' methinks.

Barring indegenas we're oleo tip to toe.

In all likelihood they are Petroamazonas responsibility, but as you suggest this should have been not only sorted out before OBA, but it should have been part of Amerisur's due diligence and conveyed to shareholders in a timely fashion.

Appallingly lax way to undertake a project said to be 'transformational' let alone award options years in advance of pipeline being finished, and of course when it is finished find holders were not given information about bottlenecks that should have formed part of the due diligence before even a pipe was laid.

How can you even build a pipeline or calculate throughput based on the diameter of a pipe, without considering the pumps in the line is the sort of basic mistake that would get an apprentice sacked.

Bloody appalling

Malcy on 17dec: An update from john Wardle in Colombia this morning which is a bit mixed but with no fundamental problems. The near term production target of 7,200 b/d scheduled to be reached at the end of this year has been put back by a quarter in 1Q 2017, a number of social issues have taken their toll but should improve since the signing of the latest peace deal on 24th November. Throughput in the OBA has been good, averaging 1,839 b/d with a peak of 4,110 b/d and engineering work to construct the Chiritza pumping station in the RODA system is well under way. Workovers at plat 15 and 20 have been highly satisfactory with the latter producing 830 b/d from recompletion in the U sand, they have now moved to 14 and 9. Plat 8 has also been successful and yielded 411 b/d and they are now moving to Plat 24.

16Dec: RNS As expected AMER fail to deliver the 7200bopd exit rate and c5k bopd through OBA. Pipeline levels have at least increased by 50% to 2200bopd over recent days but any further uplift looks to be constrained until pumping station works undertaken ~ so no quick fix. Overall current production seems to be 4218bopd including P8 & P20 wells.

This from Sept update below, are we going to have to wait till April to find out actual production per day at Y/End 2016? Never mind OBA update, not the best these guys at keeping shareholders fully informed are they, reminds me of another Oil Co BOD :)

-- Currently producing at approximately 4,500 BOPD -- Platanillo-8 spudded and successfully completed in July 2016 - currently producing from the T sand at 410 BOPD

-- Platanillo-20 re-completed in the U sand and is producing 775 BOPD in natural flow through a 32/64" choke

-- 2016 targeted production exit rate of 7,200 BOPD

Eddie - that's what I was referring to.
From the November presentation re de-bottlenecking:

• Outage of 1 intermediate pumping station
• Production uplift short term
• Pumping station to be rehabilitated
• 1 further new pumping station to be constructed
