Quite a reaction to today's update. Too much action from the board ?!

Yes. I may have been too early... Probably another pound left in this to close the gap, but it's the inaction from the board that worries me?

On the charts a golden X has now been achieved in mid September when the share price was about 540. This is normally one of the strongest buy signals and about 75% reliable. Predictably the stock has surged since then finally through the 600 level. If it can hold this over the next week there could be plenty of positive action to come.

I think AMFW is a classic case of where the market completely ignores the fundamentals of a company but seems to be persuaded more by technical charts, which more often than not predict a turnaround. Yet the last company statement only 2 months ago was very gloomy.

"Our industry continues to face very challenging conditions, with capital projects across natural resources markets being delayed and cancelled in many parts of the world". (CEO)

With cable going lower still some upside in this one, but it's always nice to leave something in for the next guy.

Oil price up. Opec seemed to have done a deal... Still no disposals here though?

Due to the sell buy trades I'm not sure if a current stakeholder with over 3% has agreed to sell some or all of their stake to a new investor. Shares have had a nice ride from sub £4 but strong buying momentum is still their, I'd be happy to sell a few around the £7 mark.

Yes. And still no announcements, if they had shorted and were buying back, would there be an announcement?

Still someone's building 2000+ batches, RNS imminent.

£7 is my target. Closes the gap and I can get rid of this dog... However, some sign or corporate action or disposals and I might reassess?

bend1pa was thinking more £7 within 2-3 weeks, not years lol.

scallywag - with an increased price target from 500p to 700p which explains Friday's movement.

I'll be happy to see this back to £7, except you don't suggest a time limit for that - 2 to 3 years, perhaps? Wall St is very toppy, and now seems to have entered a phase with tiny daily movements and limited progress recently after its big surge over the past year.

Are they too big to get acquired now? I guess the merger has brought some indigestion. They keep referring to disposals, but nothing gets disposed?

edge2, yes its 3%+ is a notifiable interest. 3% of the Company is 11.7m shares, not sure if that's been bought through the programmed trades yet? But if this trend continues suspect it will be reached within next 7 days or so. Expecting a small pullback on Tue after Wall St. saw something in Yellens Jackson Hole speech.

Sorry bend1pa you can't keep pouring cold water on this one. We've finally broken above the £5 ceiling on good buying volume, someone is buying small programmed batches, and still is, even at £5.70. There will be pullbacks but this is heading back to £7 territory, market feels a bit toppy so correction is possible, the shorters/day traders seem to have gone away for some reason, Imho.
