27/7/2009 19:00 | Breakout could be tomorrow if it holds above 720p | jfmullins

15/5/2009 12:51 | WhoWantsToBeA Millionaire: Views on today's RNS concerning oil services cutbacks? Noted 'close call' on remnuneration at agm plus remuneration policy apparently voted down. | wendsworth
09/4/2009 15:51 | Donemyhomework2 - I saw the graph but was expecting the FTSE and Dow to retreat further bringing AMEC down with them! Never mind. Let me know when next you look into the ball! Cheers | rusty steele
09/4/2009 07:32 | Don't recall getting the benefit of your research "WhowantsToBeAmillio Have you posted here the last two years? Rusty Steel ; no crystal ball ; graphs seemed to indicate that. | donemyhomework2

17/3/2009 11:18 | Going sub 500p? | wendsworth
15/3/2009 16:52 | royaloak, mrminster and Mick:Agree with the sentiment of your comments. Have not yet got back into AMEC although have 'worked' Wood Group selling out Friday pm. Today's OPEC announcement 'of a standstill' plus Friday's downgrade will not help AMEC in the short term...is my current view. | wendsworth
13/3/2009 11:27 | Mick I do mainly spreadbetting or cfd's now. I find it much easier to trade them as you can take profits or losses quickly without the related charges to buying the shares. One problem I have is taking profits too early, the trouble is whether long or short we are in the hands of Wall Street overnight1 Some good winners recently, CHTR, WEIR, ROR, etc., all of which I bought on results day initially and have traded again since. ro | royaloak
13/3/2009 10:57 | just gone long till june.....just a tenner and see how we go, will add as and when it increases.....like the co and its diversity and the sector can only get better in the long run expect it to fall now.....lol | mrminister
13/3/2009 10:48 | Mick, I thought the results were brilliant, but from the market reaction early on came to the conclusion that my judgement was wrong. Missed the boat! However did go long today at 535 which was a resistance point yesterday. | royaloak
13/3/2009 09:56 | Not often you can find a company on advfn without either a decent ramper or de-ramper never mind one thats totally deserted :>) I was impressed with yesterday's results especially as I feel the oil price could rebound to at least $60 over the coming months so with such a solid base, AMEC would surely rise ? Posted the following on TMF Any comments? Mick | mickinvest
25/2/2009 21:03 | some nice rns today gents top up | gibso6767
25/2/2009 11:30 | Why is it that the best stocks often have the least active BBs ? !!! Most threads would be jumping on the back of news like this. Classic defensive play with massive long term upside. | bluebelle
13/2/2009 16:57 | wendsworth hi, Nice to see we agree; and results will be good so we are told. Not like HBOS!!! Including tax charge they seem to make it to £11,000,000,000. Like to get the zeros in; I wonder whether they wanted to clear the decks for a better 2009? | donemyhomework2
13/2/2009 14:00 | donemyhomework2: Like you have been monitoring and have to agree share price has been remarkably resilient despite market volatility and weakness in oil price. AMEC has been my most successful share in the past having purchased initially at 364 and traded up to > 800p . Just waiting for the general market volatility to subside before committing. | wendsworth
12/2/2009 07:23 | Wendsworth, Can you not see the higher lows every time? This is visiting 600p NOT sub 500p. I suppose time will tell. | donemyhomework2 |
