Posted at 08/3/2016 15:24 by pkvidean AMEC is now AMFW (AMEC Foster Wheeler). |
Posted at 29/12/2014 21:09 by langerman Amec FW have a poor management structure, badly handled foster wheeler take over. Too many cooks and no one knows what they are doing. They will pay the price by continuing to further disappoint their clients. Since crashing out of the FTSE 100 this share has dropped quickly. I see continued falls this year and will be looking for a 700p entry end of 2015. gl all. |

Posted at 05/8/2014 16:28 by amiakova Tailings Dam failure in BC, looks like AMEC were the consultant for the the annual tailings dam raise.hxxps://www.linkedin Hopefully will not be liable? |
Posted at 16/4/2014 09:43 by marben100 Could be related to arbing or hedging the upcoming FW acquisition. Long FW, short AMEC might make sense (but I haven't done the math). Shorts would close by delivering AMEC shares acquired in the deal.Cheers, Mark Twitter @marben100 |
Posted at 15/4/2014 19:40 by kenbarlowx Any ideas on the rising short interest in AMEC? It took off in Jan and has (unlucky people) tracked the rising share price since. |

Posted at 14/12/2013 17:33 by apad Probably the exception that proves the rule EI!AZN stellar. Looking at boring high yielders at the moment, but my income comes in small chunks that tempt me towards small caps. Fingers burnt on recovery plays(CHG, AGK (not so bad)) What to do :-) AMEC needs (must have) high capital spending by its customers. KENZ, by way of contrast, benefits from day-to-day spending. Samir(spelling?) has delivered in spades, but I expect the good times to dry up and AMEC to lose favour. It's the time of specialist suppliers (WEIR) and day to day spending outsourcers (KENZ) until the good times roll again and the capital budgets burn a hole in manager's pockets. apad |
