13/1/2011 10:32 | Back on the up today Battlebus - SMDS looking hot to trot too :-) CR | cockneyrebel
11/1/2011 16:51 | Johnamill you have nothing to lose here if you wait long enough the divi will repay your capital it's self. | battlebus2
11/1/2011 14:13 | This is set to stay in my ISA..... looks promising!! | johnamill
08/1/2011 15:30 | Just like Mollins another engineering company with a hefty dividend the shares will rise with the divi here. | battlebus2
08/1/2011 15:16 | The Diddymen. ALU have said sales were up 10% on Q1. They have said the orderbook is up 20% on last year. The building products have seen rises 2 quarters running. Precission seems to be making the greatest progress where the highest margins are. In general, all anecdotal evidence from engineering and manufacturing in the UK suggest a good pick up in the sector. They have said they are confident of making progress. They obviously guide brokers and the broker forecasts and they are for earnings to increase and the divi to increase going forward, in fact they forecast an 11p divi next year. The most recent Peel Hunt note says: "The positive trends reported in the prelims continue. The order book is up, Precision Components continues to power ahead, and the long-term recovery in EPS begins to look bedded in" They like me seem to think the current share price is unsustainable with a yield that high and likely to rise. I see any pressures on profits decreasing going forward as we get a recovery. An 11p divi next year would make the forward yield 8% still and earnings growing to 12.9p more than covering the divi. If the earnings this year get beaten then the earnings next year cover that 11p divi even further. I just see the risk as low here, I think things are get easier especially now they have gained the Caterpillar transmission parts business too. If the interims are good and there's a divi approaching 8%, it's covered and earnings are growing then that divi will get bought up imo. If they 11p divi next year was to be 5% then the shares will be 220p and that will still be one of the best ISA'able divis available. But we'll see come the results in a months time and obviously the above is just my opinion and I can be as wrong as anyone can. CR | cockneyrebel
08/1/2011 13:57 | The diddyman why do you have reservations over the long term prospects when trading and future orders are all ahead? Thus leaving a very safe dividend. | battlebus2
08/1/2011 13:22 | CR I still keep an eye on this stock. It has been stronger than I thought it could be, but I still have reservations over the long term prospects and market liquidity. The good news is that the lack of a closing trading statement suggests that there is nothing more to add to the last update, ie steady as you go. TD | the diddymen
07/1/2011 12:39 | Might be a bit of stock about for those that wanted to buy now having been a few sellers today. Some buyers moving in I see. CR | cockneyrebel
07/1/2011 10:35 | Looking back at the chart through the years to 2000, the high yesterday has proved to be a massive support/resistance. A retrace here was very likely. | chester
07/1/2011 07:51 | Results 3rd FEBRUARY | battlebus2
06/1/2011 18:06 | Did someone pay 1.49 for 5k. | battlebus2
06/1/2011 13:31 | Agree about the divi - @ £2.00 the divi is 5%. If the construction side is flat and the industrial up around 20% I reckon the divi is more than well covered. Peel Hunt forecasting a rise in the divi going fwd and no worries of it being maintained. I think the more that start to believe that the more these will rally myself. CR | cockneyrebel
05/1/2011 21:24 | Bought this for the divi when it was 10% on the back of the Mail tip but didn't expect a 40% rise in the shareprice aswell. Well spotted C.R. I said when you first posted here that this would be a slow burner i know differently now. Even at £1.80 the dividend is over 5%! | battlebus2
05/1/2011 16:34 | Cracking close - and the yield is still gigantic :-) CR | cockneyrebel
05/1/2011 16:27 | Nice close. | chester
05/1/2011 13:31 | Stock about now with a 5k buy at 1.42 | battlebus2
05/1/2011 10:33 | Couple of sales now will pull us back for a while. | battlebus2
05/1/2011 10:27 | Nice morning. Sorry Lord Gnome. I highlighted these a while back. In Sept-Oct you could buy as many as you wanted - if you look back at the trades then were large, a 400K too and the price fell after that no matter how many you tried to buy. A case of having to go against the market and be a contrarian I guess - nobody was interested back in Oct. MM's deal in 2.5K and there's 3 mm's I think you'll find. MM's have to sell you 2.5K at the market price - tho obviously that's not much of a size. Toyed with putting these in my Annual Stock Challenge and th Jan one but plumped for stuff I thought would mover more - might be regretting that decission. CR | cockneyrebel
05/1/2011 09:54 | Could be the start of a nice run up to results first week in February. Dividend still 7% so who will sell. | battlebus2
05/1/2011 09:13 | Don't ask Chester took an account for my son BB2 while on holidays at Christmas with the same email address and lost my own. Emailed ADVFN a few times to reinstate the account but no reply. Will ring as there is only one bb. | battlebus2
05/1/2011 09:03 | What happened to just ' battlebus' ? | chester
05/1/2011 08:54 | C.R. Seems no one will get these cheap anymore 137 to buy. | battlebus2
