01/9/2006 13:49 | today was when it was announced - so I assume with the AGM in mind? looking at the after hours trades - looks like we still have some more overhang to clear.... | jezboy1
01/9/2006 13:25 | Was that before or after the AGM? | quids-in
01/9/2006 09:55 | So does this go ex-div on the 8th sept then jeff? I am in at 60.5 for what it's worth... p.s. Panmure Gordon re-iterated their buy recommendation with a price target of 85p..... | jezboy1
01/9/2006 09:41 | 4.2p divi this year (final 3.2p payable 6/10 to shareholders on the register 8/9) from EPS about 5.7p = 1.4x cover Regards, Ian | jeffian
01/9/2006 09:20 | 7% yield????? are u joking?? whats the cover on that divi jeffian?? | jezboy1
01/9/2006 09:15 | Ignoring the £3m one-off costs of the 'special inquiry' which are bound to impact on the interims, if the underlying earnings stay around the same level, then on a PER of 10 supported by a 7% divi yield, there doesn't look much downside, does there? Regards, Ian | jeffian
01/9/2006 09:15 | Maybe 'cos you keep jumping around between threads, lofty! Ignoring the £3m one-off costs of the 'special inquiry' which are bound to impact on the interims, if the underlying earnings stay around the same level, then on a PER of 10 supported by a 7% divi yield, there doesn't look much downside, does there? Regards, Ian | jeffian
01/9/2006 08:57 | It is very quiet on this board. Looks like there is just the two of us!!! | quids-in
01/9/2006 08:53 | good man quids-in | loftypants
01/9/2006 08:50 | No loftypants, I bought yesterday. Let's hope that the rise continues and doesn't fall back again. Looks promising so far. | quids-in
01/9/2006 08:33 | Am I the only one? | loftypants
01/9/2006 06:49 | AGM statement reads well business growing Steady rise anyone? | loftypants
31/8/2006 16:33 | Wrong day - sorry - it's tomorrow, Friday 1/9 at Heathrow. Can't go this year due to other commitments. Agree with you and lofty this could be a good recovery play; market just needs reassurance re: coporate governance issues and current trading (losing half your board and spending months on a financial review can, after all, be a bit disruptive!). Once the waves have settled things could be OK - having people check in hours early and remain trapped in Duty Free for hours is not necessarily a bad thing if you own shops and restaurants in airports! Regards, ian | jeffian
31/8/2006 14:57 | I agree lofty - but not that familiar with the company and it looks like it has been through the mill.... jeffian/Ian - AGM this thursday??? No details of this as far as I can tell. can u confirm? | jezboy1
30/8/2006 22:50 | Am I the only moron who sniffs value here? Slide rules out ( For those that remember them!) | loftypants
29/8/2006 21:51 | AGM on Thursday. Could be some more news then. Regards, Ian | jeffian
29/8/2006 21:34 | Man - where is the bottom on this thing??? anyone want to call it? | jezboy1
10/8/2006 22:21 | On the contrary; people trapped in airports for hours/days seems excellent news to me what with AAP's shops, restaurants etc.! 8-) Regards, Ian | jeffian
10/8/2006 17:32 | Surprised that these have not taken more of a battering today after the fun and games at UK ariports. Not going to do their duty free or gift retail arm any good what so ever. Especially as the majority of their stores are after checkin and customers are not longer to carry onboard anything that they stock. Could make some gains in inflight retail though, as this is the only way I can see these companies recovering. | fickena
09/8/2006 17:22 | Are there any 'in house' correspondents who can be helpful with information? It would appear to have little interest to retail investors. | rabbrooks
06/7/2006 10:22 | Only down 9% ... any thoughts? B | beta_adjusted
06/7/2006 09:36 | Can't say that I'll be voting for the re-appointment of PWC when the appropriate moment comes along........ | slinky lady
06/7/2006 08:50 | I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Withdrawal of audit certificate, share suspension, major upheaval, £3m costs to 'outside advisers' (£3m?!!!), loss of CEO, FD and now Chairman and the overall result of this exercise? Zilch. Zippo. Nothing. Results now published exactly as they were before all this started. I appreciate that there are corporate governance 'issues' here, but it is clear that the board had taken legal advice before entering the questionable contract and believed that they had the all-clear. Nobody, individually or corporately, gained financially and there was no impact of the figures reported. So my question is this; has someone over-reacted here and why couldn't this have been cleared up in a more civilised fashion between the auditors and the audit Committee? There has been mass executive suicide at AAP, but I wonder what PWC see when they look in the mirror and whether they feel they have a good ongoing working relationship with their client? Humph! Regards, Ian | jeffian
06/7/2006 08:16 | UK smallcap opening - Alpha Airports resumes trading lower LONDON (AFX) - Shares in Alpha Airports, suspended since April 25, resumed trading 7-1/2 pence lower at 77. The stock was suspended after the aviation support services company's auditors withdrew approval of its accounts. These have now been audited and reconfirmed with no adjustment following a Special Committee investigation. Panmure Gordon warns there will be significant downgrades to current year forecasts, but believes the future looks encouraging. It cautions, nevertheless, that the dividend cover is only 1.3 times on its revised forecasts, and points out that net debt remains stubbornly high. newsdesk@afxnews.com fjb/vjt COPYRIGHT | eithin |
