27/9/2016 15:43 | LKID If spin transfer does hit commercialization what in your opinion would happen to the share price of ALM, saw a great note today from them. you are the most neg about this Co so interested to get your view. Cheers Herb | herb salade
27/9/2016 15:33 | 1 herb (shortofa) Salade, WPCT & ALM are joined at the hip but I will only discuss WPCT on the WPCT thread. To focus on ALM & understanding of the subsidiaries, There are plently of extensive opinions on here if one can be bothered to ferret through the posts. Although to form a good picture it should not take you long to read/research the whole thread starting at post 1. (top tips: filter the idiots out, use the search button e.g. for FW, STT) These classics: SoundBuy3 15 its the fingers they've got in the pies of the future......and the cash they have to fund more fingers........can't have too many fingers dangersimpson 179 you need to be confident that you can value the subsiduaries of ALM better than its own directors saying 2 subsiduries could be worth $1bn doesn't make them so without an explanation of why. skinwalker 183 If Woodfeld wasn't in the background I would expect the share price would be nearer 300 (or even 200). post 262 PM Do your own work PM Emoticon PM I still think it’s a great opportunity Emoticon Ok I've done the hard yards for you lot already: Federated Wireless (FW), posts: 280, 319, 372, 393, 428, 432, 610 Spin-Transfer Technology 270, 468, 536 Optio Labs 244 RF Biocidics 280 Tinnitus Treatment Solutions (TTS) 292 Hawkit-Eye 360 posts 305, 536 Precipitation Networks 345 Foreskin Technologies 345 Whiteworld Encryption 346 294 Precision Biopsy 361 BodgeSat 366, 393 ScareFluor 412 Allied-Bristol Life Sciences (ABLS) 541, 547 | liquidkid
27/9/2016 15:13 | Well WPCT hasn't as yet proved a good investment for those that bought it at the offer price of 100p and have held as the share price is below 100p. Of course, those of you clever or lucky enough to buy at the low point in July will have done very well. Congratulations. In my book that doesn't mean the fund has been a good investment - some have made a gain by clever trading. I wonder whether Woodford's star may be beginning to wane for exactly the reason I've outlined - the share price is below the initial offer price. I don't think I 'pontificate' over Allied Minds. Have you seen the share price lately? | skinwalker
27/9/2016 08:39 | skin, you claim "WPCT has not (as yet) been a good investment". Are you mad? In July it was a bloody fantastic buy, just at the moment that your little pal Liquid Bowels was opening his short and snivelling that it was a sell. Some of us bought then just as a diametrically opposed punt to the idiot and made a lot of money. It was also actually a good buy at the float at the point when stupid Liquid was making his unintelligent and unintelligible posts totally slagging it off. Many savvy investors made a killing on the near 20% rise at the beginning knowing that the impatient idiots would jump ship. You are trying the same game, it seems to me, with ALM. You pontificate a lot but on what basis? Why may Woodford's star be on the wane? I see no evidence for that. | kpo115
26/9/2016 23:50 | kpo there has been significant progress sine July's low point, but the share price (96p) is below the original offer price of 100p. WPCT has not (as yet) been a good investment, and Woodfords star may be on the wane. | skinwalker
26/9/2016 16:49 | But Liquid Underpants doesn't have a missus! You must be joking! He is a rancid little recluse who sits all day in the middle of a field digitally pleasuring himself. (He never manages the end bit, though, LOL LOL). He fancies himself as a bit of an investment guru and gives advice on all kinds of shares none of which he knows anything about. For instance he's been slagging off Woodford's Patient Capital Trust for aeons, quite impotently. Indeed in July he was shorting it, or so he claimed. He was trying to get other holders to do the same. So what happened? They shot up about 15%, that's all! He is also pretty thick about other financial matters. He avoids making a profit at all costs in case he has to pay Capital Gains Tax! Can you believe it? As if!!! He also excuses himself for always making losses by saying that they can be very useful to put against his tax liabilities. The dope hasn't twigged that you've got to make said gains before the losses can be used. He has also been making psychopathic fantasy posts pretending to smash those that disagree with him with a cricket bat about the head! Weird ain't a strong enough word..... | kpo115
26/9/2016 16:20 | Liquid has beef with Alm or Woodford portfolio. I'm not quite sure but is a serial de-ramper. Maybe Woody smashed his missus | bobonumber1
26/9/2016 13:15 | LKid, you didn't really answer my question. You did direct me to a post (940) that had your very negative view of Woodford Capital. Are you actually negative about all the companies in ALMs portfolio or are you more focused on WC. Personally any understanding of the subsidiaries would help, have you dug into each company. As i say reading through the press releases i keep seeing positive steps and nothing too negative in the yearly and 6 monthly notes, i mean they are legally required to announce bad news during these statements. Also, love him or hate him I assume that WC do considerable DD before they pump lots of money into these subs? and i just don't believe the whole board are liars/idiots and its a zombie company. Maybe i am being overly optimistic, but the signs seem good to me. | herb salade
26/9/2016 10:26 | Aren't you the astute technutical analist here with protractor and all predicting the direction of everything but can't navigate around a simple bulletin board? for your convenience, here's the link: | liquidkid
22/9/2016 13:31 | Two threads under WPCT neither have 940 posts. LiquidKid 22 Sep '16 - 13:19 - 649 of 650 0 0 Mr Skint, Puhlease don't give any advice to the noob's on here. 22/9/2016 08:20 | Herb If and when companies are commercialised and trade 'successfully' this would be likely to be good news for the ALM shareprice. The key words are 'if' and 'when'. I am a shareholder here, although I sold half my holding a year or so ago. ALM is a punt, a gamble. It may pay off, it may not. And if it does, nobody knows when. My advice, FWIW, if you buy, is to invest a small amount for the long-term - 5years?;10years?, and only as much that you can afford to lose. (and don't listen to the fantasists here!) | skinwalker
21/9/2016 11:07 | 1 = £102 = £203 = £55 ( R Ball) | bobonumber1
21/9/2016 10:30 | Skinwalker and other negs to this co, wonder if you can help me. Could you share your opinions on what happens if 1, 2 or 3 of these companies do hit commercialization. It seems to me they are in some very hot market areas i.e Broadband shortage, mobile/IOT Security, Memory technology and various scientific advancements. All these areas have huge potential, and I keep reading positive steps on the news feeds. | herb salade
07/9/2016 21:31 | Think what you like guys. The Second Coming is more likely than £55. I was reading the Jefferies (the only broker then covering this stock) note of last September. The share price then was 535 and they had it as a buy with a target of 584. They have no idea either. What I will say, is that many shares have done very well over the last few months, and if you're obsessed with ALM you will have missed the party. I don't think any of the businesses in the ALM portfolio actually trade, let alone profitably. Bringing an idea to market is both expensive and risky. Anyway, good luck to you (Yes, even you down-ticking baby err mice) | skinwalker
07/9/2016 16:56 | Yeah, quite right. Whoever posted the last 5 posts must all be nincompoops. | brianarthur1939

07/9/2016 12:09 | the world is full of nincompoops | skinwalker
06/9/2016 13:22 | can't imagine why you're ticking me down. I mean it's only an extra £51.71 in order to achieve your target. A mere 1572%. Should be a doddle! | skinwalker |
