30/3/2011 14:16 | A good update from AGLD today with news that the disruption at Simberi is as good as resolved and in the price. Its been one step forward with the Gold Ridge development followed by a foot back at Simberi, all leading up to a leap forward in production towards 200,000+ oz/pa by the end of the year. | ajviews
30/3/2011 11:00 | allied gold anticipate a return to production at Simberi later this week. Two independent experts are to examine the repair work at the plant this week. Positive note on ASX dated this date. | walrus5
30/3/2011 10:04 | dont know if I did the right thing but I sold yesterday. Afraid of protracted closure at Simberi and possible litigation. Probably the wrong thing to do. | walrus5
29/3/2011 11:23 | Has anyone contacted the company?. I have... they are sorting this out with the utmost haste. | dvsfm
29/3/2011 11:06 | Starting to agree with Matt. The company are very quiet and I cannot find anything very positive in the local press reports. | walrus5
28/3/2011 15:27 | The aim of doing research is to find information, not to only find information to support your current stance. I'd love to find good news on Semberi in which case I'd likely buy more at this price but right now things look grey. I'm not going to sell a small holding on the back of it but I may take advantage of buying more if there is news that causes short term panic selling. | matt
28/3/2011 15:19 | Quite the reverse. Happy to hold but this could well create a further buying opportunity if there is a problem. | matt
28/3/2011 13:47 | just sell Matt | juju43
28/3/2011 12:15 | I don't know what they are. These press reports have come out since the last RNS. | matt
28/3/2011 11:43 | not saying it doesnt hurt or is not important but i think it should be easily fixed and they seem to be doing that. they are a capable management team | juju43
28/3/2011 09:18 | If you call it minor to receice the first ever Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC) protective order under the Environment Act. Plus the lost production and profits. They said production stopped during the week before the 7th March RNS which means we have been closed nearly a month. How would you feel if someone stopped your business from operating for a month? | matt
28/3/2011 09:08 | storm in a tea cup. its a minor issue which they can easily fix and should blow over soon | juju43
28/3/2011 09:03 | Yes and you? I recon if they get both mines working this is a bargain. I get concerned when 2 sources of information sound different and right now the press on local government and DEC sound worse to me than the RNS. On top of that only the former are making any noises. The company is quiet. | matt
28/3/2011 08:33 | Matt are you invested in AGLD? | 2breakout
28/3/2011 08:27 | Let's remain open to the risk of local politics. Having a large gold mine is good for PNG. | matt
28/3/2011 08:23 | Matt, accidents do happen, they acted very rapidly to the issue. AGLD is good for PNG overall, this matter will be sorted to everyone's satisfaction very soon I suspect | dvsfm
28/3/2011 08:08 | Shavian, well I wonder if people are buying blind to the fact they haven't increased production because Simberi is shut and that the press reports make it sound quite serious. Some clarification from the company on this stream of press reports would be useful. | matt
28/3/2011 07:44 | More comment in the PNG press | matt
28/3/2011 07:31 | No mention of the Simberi spillage in the tip from James . He really should do his research before releasing this stuff. | shavian
27/3/2011 18:49 | AGLD tipped by Wat's Hot. had an e-mail from UK Invest......tip of the day | vivgav
26/3/2011 19:33 | Emailed company and phoned PR company on Friday to try and get some clarification on the situation at Simberi. Press reports referring to DEC and local government sound worse than RNS. Concerned that one story talks about a former PM suggesting we should be de-licensed. I'd like to understand what's happening. | matt
24/3/2011 10:31 | o/t interesting story | ukgeorge
24/3/2011 09:31 | I don't think it's the press calling for them to be de-licensed, it's the governor and former prime minister. What if he wanted to be PM again or this is a vote winner to find a way to pressure overseas companies to handover assets to locals? This could a case of politics. | matt |
