Instead of buying Page and Moy...Roger Allard could have facilitated ALLG to be taken over by a larger Holiday/Cruise Company when the share price was around the 40 - 50p....the slow down started (North Africa/Egypt) good few years ago...

diku,

I think you a right.

Roger Allard was part of the group who loaned ALLG the money to buy Page and Moy.

From the Preliminary results for the year ended 31 October 2015:

...On 15 May 2012, All Leisure Group PLC acquired 100% of the issued share capital of Page & Moy Travel Group Limited (“PMTGL”), on a debt free basis, for a consideration of £3.3m. The consideration was funded with a £5.8m loan from a consortium of individual investors, some of whom were related parties. ...

So whatever is outstanding on that loan will have to be repaid by the administrators if the funds are available as well as all the other liabilities before anything goes to shareholders.

I'm not hopeful but I could be wrong.

From clear leisure CLP to all leisure ALLG, seems that Tara likes the name leisure. It didn't materialise with CLP, so good luck with ALLG

Is it correct to assume that if ALLG de-list from AIM, that the shares will be worthless.

Very interesting - I have read the recently published Report and Accounts carefully, and I can see no mention of plans to de-list. Moreover the Chairman speaks of their determination to restore the group to profitability and resume dividend payments. Correct me if I am wrong, but I do not believe that he said this in the preliminary announcement. It is almost as if there has been a sudden change in the group's fortunes. Combined with a number of share purchases ( albeit small ) both today and yesterday, I am beginning to wonder what is going on !

Mesquida, yes, mate, the reaction here so far is interesting...

KBE surged 600% yesterday on a million quid coming in...

ALLG has received 3m quid today, almost as much as its entire marcap...

ALLG could well benefit...

Travel companies are gearing up for the over-55s to spend thousands of pounds of their retirement pots on multi-generational cruises and flights to far-flung destinations as billions of pounds of money tied up in pensions is made available.

Research commissioned on the eve of pension reforms reveals that up to three-quarters of people who are planning to withdraw pension money under the changes being introduced on Monday are considering spending some of it on travel.

We're now approaching six months without a post...

I liked yesterday's announcement about the disposal of Discovery. Whilst ALLG had said they intended to sell the vessel at the end of the Summer, I had been worried that they wouldn't be able to. After all, if the vessel was losing >£3m p/a, it's not obvious why buyers would be interested: if there were profitable uses, you would have expected that ALLG would have pursued them itself or leased the vessel to someone to pursue them. So, it was not a surprise that the consideration was less than book value.

But we are now in a position where profits will improve by over £3m p/a from next year.

FWIW, the relative recent strength of sterling and the weakness of oil should also both help ALLG.

So, there will be (one off) pain in this year's results with the write down of Discovery's value and the Ukraine & Crimea issues, but IMO we seem finally to have reached take off point.

This is not the view of Mr Market though!
