I've asked Advfn if they can fix the news section issue, if not I'll include the following LSE:ALK specific link in the header..

Yes it is, nothing I can do about that as the news section is simply what Advfn provide for "ALK". Even if I put LSE:ALK in the header NEWS link ADVFN still throw in the rest. If you have an LSE:ALK RNS specific link to another source I could reset the link.

bountyhunter - I note that the News section seems to be picking up the other ALK's announcements as well.

Long Term Lease Agreed for TVL's lithium processing facility at Wilton International

HIGHLIGHTS

-- TVL and Sembcorp Energy UK agree the terms of a 30 year Lease for TVL's lithium processing facility at Wilton International, Teesside.

-- Sembcorp Energy UK's site at Wilton International, within the Teesside Freeport, sits amongst a hub of decarbonisation innovation, and is ready for investing energy-intensive industrial businesses with it's 'plug and play' approach to available development land.

-- Agreeing terms for a long term Lease follows the granting of full planning permission in November and represents another significant milestone for TVL.

TVL announces that further to its RNS on 8 November 2022, it has now formally agreed the terms of a 30 year Lease with Sembcorp Energy UK in respect of its site at Wilton International in Teesside.

Under the terms of an Agreement for Lease, which was signed today, TVL has an option for up to a year to enter into the agreed long term Lease, during which time it will conclude formalities with respect to financing and utilities and services, although it is anticipated that these should be completed well in advance of the expiry of the option period.

A key driver for TVL's site selection at Wilton International, which sits within the Teesside Freeport amongst a hub of decarbonisation innovation, is Sembcorp Energy UK's 'plug & play' infrastructure, and readily-accessible utilities including water, gas, steam and electricity.

The refinery will be capable of producing both lithium hydroxide and lithium carbonate sourced from imported high grade feedstock from South America and lithium producers located in Australia and elsewhere. The refinery is expected to produce enough lithium hydroxide to supply 100% of the forecasted automotive demand in the UK by 2030, with a further 35% of its total production available for export to other countries in Europe and elsewhere.

Utilising state-of-the-art electrochemical processing, TVL's zero waste lithium refinery will be the largest in Europe - producing 96,000tpa of low-carbon battery-grade lithium hydroxide once in full production - equivalent to 15% of projected European demand."

Given that the implied valuation went from 100m euro to 628m euro in 16 months without them contributing I suspect that they made a tonne of money. I also suspect that the original investment was when the company was valued far less than 100m.

Have a look at European lithium and their proposed transaction with Sizzle........

Interesting. Did existing Kaliber shareholders make any money from what has basically been a takeover by Sibanye-Stillwater. looks like a massive dilution to me, but I'm saying that without necessarily being cognisant of all the facts.

One major investor on Teesside is Tees Valley Lithium. John Walker, the company's chief executive, outlined what they are doing. He explained: "We're building Europe's largest lithium hydroxide refinery at Wilton International chemicals park and will be the UK's first lithium refinery. We've developed a very innovative electro-chemical process which eliminates a lot of the chemicals used to make lithium hydroxide and replace this with green energy.

"We want to be a low-carbon producer of lithium chemicals and our target markets are electric vehicles and stationary energy storage. And we're going to be producing enough lithium chemicals to make about 2.4 million electric vehicles which be enough to supply all the UK's requirements for such vehicles and still have enough to go into stationary energy storage or to be sold overseas."

MW. You are absolutely correct to be cognisant of the risks. Keliber is definitively worth a look to see the potential value that could come to ALK. Recent equity investment that included shareholder buy out and valued company at 628m euro. The equity investment will also go towards project financing. Debt financing has still to be achieved.........so it goes to show projects can advance whilst debt markets turbulent. Keliber total NPV similar to only Train 1 of ALK (and I think they are using a materially higher price for lithium hydroxide)! BTW they were also valued at 100m euro back in Feb 21 when initial funding in place from equity investor with DFS etc still to do!.......so at early stage valued way more than ALK........and then a 6 fold increase in 16 months........and its just about to start construction with output in 2025!

One of those relates to 'Alkane' from 2005, a mining company nothing to do with Alkemy Capital, the other has no charts or news and minimal info in the header, not even mentioning the Lithium plant. I find it frustrating to view a thread missing a daily chart and the rest here is useful for newcomers and would have been useful to me when I initially researched and bought in. Also I have included quick access to the full news list, trades, financials and the company website at the top of the header.
