Does Alent have stamp duty on it's buy orders?

Maybe I should buy back in if it doesn't(only has to drop a few pence below my sale price of 360p to get back in with no loss)

I got out at 360p, I got my shares at the demerger from Cooksons.

I got out of VSVS too early(the other bit of Cooksons), perhaps I have got out of Alnt too early as well, time will tell

Difficult to tell the profit because on paper these were free shares and the VSVS were given the same value as the last share price of Cooksons(so sold at a tax loss)

I hope that you kept the faith, but I wouldn't blame you if you took a little bit off the table, assuming that you are well in the money.
Anything could set off a correction in these markets at present.

Nice run up since middle of May, I want 358p to get out, probably being too greedy as usual

Dividend pay day on Thurs 19th, maybe a lot of div reinvest will help

I have just seen a broker report from credit Suisse reiterating outperformance for ALNT and a target of 390p. That would do very nicely.

I noticed today that price rose going into ADP payroll numbers, then it fell sharply on poor numbers at 1.15pm. Surprised on sensitivity to US data

Price has risen modestly since the capital markets day on the 21st which I am very happy with, rising price on good factual information from the company. I prefer to have gains from this sort of information rather than some chart predictions. However the chart of share price shows the falling price has stabilised and there is a good chance of a breakout on the upside. Closing above 335p would be very pleasant

I don't see us getting back to 400p Bob, I got in 316p and small amount at 323p before ex-dividend, was hoping to see a rise back upto 360p, patience required.

I bought my Alnt shares (92 shares) with the value of the ex div (rounded up to £300)

Thought I was so clever getting them at 312p, closed at Buy 307.7p

Pay attention Robert :-), Ex divi 5.71p today so actually a gain ??!! Need to wait until the spread normalises a bit to get final judgement
