gold ridge costs are high but will come down....
.
at the end of the day they are making shed loads of money
with today's current gold price and using today's costs
then current year they will make circa additional $45,000,000

this share is driving me bonkers, decent results, yet we seem to now have a series of lower highs and looks like lower lows are on the way. Is it the cash costs that are keeping us back?

Gold up $40/oz, that should help the gross margin.

anyone have a thought on whether OZ or UK is lead market for this stock lately ?? It does look as though it is heading for 240 minimum target but most gold stocks have been struggling for a while!

Production of 180,000 oz is worth the time of a predator at least looking at them.

There is no interest in gold stocks at all it seems

with EBITDA at US$9.1 m for the December quarter. Gross cash costs for the year were US$979/oz for Simberi and US$1224 for Gold Ridge and reiterating 180k for 2012. share price does nothing but go down

go figure.....
i think we will be bought out this year

Yes juju, noted that too. However, 50% of analysts targets are about par for the course in miners atm.

Have been catching up on the latest update for ALD and will be on the watchlist for improved performance and hopefully no more mishaps during 2012. Useful article here discussing the gold equities and bargains in the sector - looks the right place to be IMO - mentions and holds ALD also -

From the Edison note:

Valuation: Moving strongly into profit in 2012
Even as FY11 gold production at Simberi has been downgraded, we still forecast Allied moving strongly into profit in 2012 as the benefit of increased throughput capacity at Simberi takes effect in Q312 and commissioning of Gold Ridge completes and starts to operate at LOM production levels. Based on Alllied achieving these objectives we forecast FY12 earnings of 18.7p (29.9c) per share and PAT of £39.2m (US$62.7m) (cf FY11 earnings -1.7p per share and a forecast loss of £3.3m).
