ALD is really out of favour and presumably bad news on the way ?? Hope not as I still hold some in OZ but these gold stocks are often only for trading it seems !

yes the 20th, at 3:15pm, quite interesting

also q3 production numbers have been released which shows how gold ridge is ramping up well.

more optimism in OZ as closed at 172p equiv but slight dip in gold price and ALD down in UK ! very disappointing stock !

chartwise it looks as if it could recover but it seems the recent results disappointed the market .

you are the supreme optimist I guess but hope you are right. I still hold a few on oz market after selling most about 2 weeks ago. Struggling to hold 160pn level here and UK seeme to be lead market .

Britain could be in the grip of the "most serious financial crisis ever", the governor of the Bank of England has told Sky News.

Sir Mervyn King said the global and UK economies had been turned on their heads in the past three months alone and said: "The world has changed."

The situation could be even worse than the Great Depression of the 1930s, he said, making it crucial do "the right thing" - which in the UK now means pumping more cash into the economy.

Sir Mervyn was speaking after the Bank's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) voted to unleash a fresh round of quantitative easing (QE) to stimulate economic growth, while holding interest rates.

thanks boadicea, I guess its just a combination of events, its just the last three weeks have been a roller coaster here. Im also hoping its just markets/bad luck that we slipped from 230 odd a couple of weeks ago
