05/9/2016 22:31 | I wonder how they measure "deposit costs" and wonder if they include all the staff costs and infrastructure costs associated with deposits? I see Deutsche's share price has fallen the best part of 90% from 2007 and continues to decline. Makes me smile when they give recommendations on this sector ;-) | cc2014
05/9/2016 16:39 | Thanks igoe, tried to copy an extract but was on my phone at the time and had to settle for the headline only. | tini5
05/9/2016 16:34 | Aldermore Upgrade to 'buy', target price upgraded: 188p Challenger bank Aldermore is the only group to receive an upgrade from Deutsche Bank, as it has the "most to gain" from the recent rate cut and the Central Bank's £100 million Term Funding Scheme. Its new 188p target price offers 13% upside. The bank's deposit costs, five times the level of RBS's, were 181 basis points in the first half of this year, which gives it space to move. The bank's high retail mix and lack of current account offering means it's got to pay a market premium to attract deposits, which is becoming an increasing disadvantage. Management could cut deposit pricing by introducing current accounts, reckons Deutsche Bank. But falling deposit costs should offset asset pricing compression over the next couple of years. Deutsche bank has upgraded its earnings forecasts by 11% and 6% for 2017/18 thanks to better income | igoe104

02/9/2016 16:12 | Just £1.80? I think more towards £2 once MS are out and after no more than a few months, as £2 seems acheivable by the end of 2016! | netflix2015
02/9/2016 15:53 | Odd they were selling, when the also were buying. I guess they have a target exit price, so grabbed more at £1, why not. Soon will be out. I expect these to eventually push towards £1.80. | isaready
02/9/2016 11:48 | Well for all we know Morgan Stanley could have sold 15m or even all their 20.5m holding, as they have gone below 3% but no idea how low. Nevertheless I believe they must still have a few million to sell otherwise the share price would have gone over £1.70 if not £1.80 not being held back at £1.60ish! We should soon see in the next week or two though!! No more RNS's from MS though, so the day the share price goes boom and holds, and continues to rise £1.80+ is the day MS are gone. Do you know if we have any other large institutional investors, particularly any that may sell? | netflix2015
02/9/2016 10:33 | That's another 10m shares Morgan Stanley have sold which the market has soaked up. I guess they will continue to sell until they are finished. It will be very interesting to see whether there selling has been keeping a cap on the price rise. Fingers crossed. | cc2014
02/9/2016 10:04 | Ok thanks. | tini5
02/9/2016 10:02 | Selling. Now below 3% so no requirement to declare holding. | cornishman33
