09/3/2016 09:52 | I've a small position here and if tomorrow's results are as expected I will probably add more. As an ex banker I like the business model here and the lack of legacy issues. The cost/income ratio target of 40% by 2017 seems eminently achievable. | jgoold
09/3/2016 09:46 | Results tomorrow. When I spoke with Spoke Claire Cordell in December after the shares tanked/ buy to let scare, she was reassuring and confident and hoped that by March, when numbers were released, they would reassure and also be able to settle nerves about regulatory worries. She said the director purchases prior to and during that slide were not gestures but made plainly because they offered excellent value. They were all higher than today's share price So I'm hopeful for tomorrow, not long to wait. | paleje
09/3/2016 09:42 | Surprised we are moving down ahead of the results tomorrow.I cant see anything but great results... | nurdin

06/3/2016 19:20 | My view after seeing this weeks action is that it has leaked that Osbourne will do some sort of U turn of the 8 July assassination of challenger banks | steptoes yard
06/3/2016 14:11 | Wonder if Osborne will relent on his stance on challenger banks...could do wonders for the sector! | nurdin

04/3/2016 17:07 | Future - having included ALD's FTSE status in the Header since last June, I'm aware thanks and that's why I monitor it. However, as I understand it ALD's ranking is not just determined by its own performance, its relative to the MCap of other companies in contention and all are considered by FTSE listing Panel. ALD's position remains unchanged for next quarter. For details of proposed changes coming into effect on 21/03/16 see: Fortunately the share price has been recovering of late, so this should improve ALD's position for the 'Future'. - excuse the pun. | mazarin
04/3/2016 15:48 | ALD has been in the 250 since last Summer - so it wold have to drop well below no. 350 before it could be relegated? | future financier
04/3/2016 15:27 | Looking at FTSE 250 Ranking on 02/03/16, I note ALD was listed at position 319, i.e. just 6 above 'Auto Entry' level, so looks as though it might just be able to remain in FTSE250 list for next quarter, but this has yet to be confirmed by FTSE panel. | mazarin
04/3/2016 15:03 | has this ever happened before ? ;-) | steptoes yard

04/3/2016 10:44 | NEWSWIRE: "The Economic Secretary is undertaking a series of regional visits across the UK, including to Cardiff, York and Bristol, to showcase the huge growth opportunities available for financial services firms in regional hubs. A key aim for government is to encourage diversity in all aspects of financial services. This includes geographical diversification and more competition in the sector with the government introducing numerous measures to help challengers, such as Aldermore, compete with incumbent financial services firms." Steptoe : if the Govt is serious about "introducing numerous measures to help challengers, such as Aldermore, compete with incumbent financial services firms" then why the f dont they reverse the lunatic decision made on 8 July 2015 please? | steptoes yard
