01/12/2009 20:14 | mudbath, you could be right, but yesterday's was a decent sized 290K lot and he's in as good a position as any to have a handle on how things really fare at the ranch. f | fillipe
01/12/2009 16:54 | Toogood was no doubt seduced by the "Recession is over"story. He probably saw some uptick in sales in seeming confirmation.Quite probably sales figures have now reversed;with the share price now reflecting reality rather than hope.(imo). | mudbath
30/11/2009 21:36 | But it has come round again, and there he is at it again! Clearly he thinks there is value here. | mesquida
11/11/2009 23:07 | Martin Toogood has now bought 800k shares - all since April this year. His av cost must be just over 17p and I doubt 12-13p to buy will come around again. Today's small uptick says it all. f | fillipe
11/11/2009 23:02 | I looked at this in quite a bit of detail last night. It looks bloody awful IMO and I don't see what the Director sees in ploughing money in. It is running at full tilt just to fund the pension afaics. Without the pension it would be my sort of investment but with that deficit adding to the Enterprise Value I'd want the Mkt Cap to be about half its current level before I might entertain it. No point in having lots of Tangible Fixed Assets if you can't fund a black hole of a pension deficit. IMO, DYOR | deswalker
02/11/2009 19:49 | Btw, agm is confirmed for Nov 6th. 9p wouldn't say much for the dirs ability to buy right - except for M Neil Rylance - 1.5m at 5p in March. f | fillipe
02/11/2009 18:56 | Aeria will be aware if sales trends are reversing;as seems likely. This company will be a major beneficiary once commercial and retail property sales show signs of picking up. That could be some way off. In the meantime I would not be surprised to see the share price testing sub 9 pence in coming months. | mudbath
02/11/2009 16:36 | No trades showing today on L2. No news that I can see.... Dunno... f | fillipe
02/11/2009 15:19 | Big drop today - anyone know whats afoot? | irenekent
05/8/2009 12:52 | carpetright statement suggests things are improving.... | pregonda
01/5/2009 11:07 | Another substantial director buy notified today. | irenekent
29/4/2009 09:42 | I'm just guessing that an MBO might have difficulty raising the funds, in the current climate. Textile companies in general, with those involved in home furnishings in particular, are still not flavour of the month. But something definitely stirring at Airea, for a change. Looks like the new guys are having an impact - at least as far as the share price is concerned! But it's difficult to see where a turnaround in the fortunes of the business will come from, just at the present time. Lots of Yorkshire (ex) textile people and retireds have old Sirdar stashed away, mainly a bit out of sentiment but also because of the vg div in former years. | fillipe
29/4/2009 09:14 | Director buying is a good indicator with this company. If there is another leg up I'll add again I think. | irenekent
23/4/2009 12:02 | Glad I have hung on to my few of these through the troubled times, almost worth something again! | mrphil
23/4/2009 09:45 | I've added, have held for years. One of the first victims of the crunch, but new management and a lot of care have kept this company afloat. I wouldn't be suprised to see an offer of a management buyout soon before the shares get too far ahead. Very limited availability of shares is also pushing the price up. As the housing market improves and office refurb gets underway demand for their products can only escalate. | irenekent
23/4/2009 09:26 | No news and no comment from company.must be something up as well as the share price I hold but paid a lot more years ago. | meadow50
22/4/2009 17:24 | up 72 % since Monday's close, any views ?? ( please ! ) | the troll
06/4/2009 10:02 | at current share price of 6.5p, you're buying the ( net ) cash of £3.2m & getting 2 streamlined businesses for nothing ( see also DWSN ); attractive. + new CEO purchased 3.24 % of Co. after interims; positive | the troll
05/4/2009 08:36 | The rump of the old Sirdar. These could be a good recovery play. Their Ryalux carpet is some of the best available. Wouldn't use anything else. Got a few shares stashed away. | irenekent
03/4/2009 20:02 | No thread for this one so just checking if it's available. | liarspoker |
