26/4/2004 18:28 | sorry, was looking at something else. I stand (embarrassly) corrected. you are indeed very right. | willybaby
26/4/2004 18:07 | Willybaby - where did you get the 10% from? I thought that GWB held 14,053,128 ordinaries - 55.31%. Airbath was certainly accounted for as a subsidiary in the last GWB a/cs. | sharw
26/4/2004 17:33 | GWB hold 10% | willybaby
26/4/2004 16:13 | It says it will be an all share offer, so don't get too excited folks - remember that GWB holds ALL the preference shares (and they are in arrears) as well as a good chunk of the ordinaries, so it is in their interest to see an offer that is skewed in favour of the prefs. The banks will also need to be paid off, so I'm a little dubious about much value being left for the ordinaries. In fact, I'm much more curious about what's happening at GWB itself. It has recently disposed all its stake in Quantica at below book value and has also sold a couple of unquoted subsidiaries. That is against its policy of seeking out add-on companies that will boost the value of its groups. Maybe it is winding itself down. If Airbath goes, to the best of my knowledge its remaining quoted subsidiaries will be Collins and Hayes, the furniture company, and EQ Group. | sharw
26/4/2004 16:05 | and another | timbucktoo

26/4/2004 15:43 | Bloomberg 1 hour ago Airbath Group Plc (ATU LN), a maker of spa and specialty baths, rose 1.25 pence, or 50 percent, to 3.75 pence, the biggest gain in more than 2 1/2 years. Airbath said it was in talks that may lead to the company being bought. | willybaby

26/4/2004 14:38 | Company is heavily indebted - so I doubt that there would be a big money offer - some good brands and products but at this moment company is in a precarious state. I cannot see someone taking on the debt and paying more than 5p per share | tryabitharder
26/4/2004 14:36 | huge spread probably putting people off. | willybaby |
