Makes you think that results will be ok when somebody buys 25k in
a desperate market a day before results, couple that with recent
block buying after the bid talks failed suggest buying from somebody
in the know.

From The Times

Cost-cutting Britons opt for DVDs at home
Amanda Andrews

As Britons labour under rising bills for everything from mortgages to petrol to food to utilities, they are, it seems, finding solace in front of the telly. Pubs and restaurants may be feeling the strain, but new figures show that we are buying more DVDs.

The British Video Association (BVA), the body that monitors the home entertainment market, said that DVD sales had risen 3.3 per cent for the first half of 2008, compared with the same period a year ago.

Indeed, according to Lavinia Carey, director-general of the BVA, DVDs have become less a luxury and more a necessity. "History has shown that in times of economic hardship, consumers find even more value in home entertainment when the leisure pound is stretched as it is," Ms Carey said. "As video is one of the most cost-effective forms of entertainment, we would expect to see continued volume growth in our market as consumers tighten their belts."

People also appear to be taking refuge from the realities of the credit crunch, the high street slowdown and falling house prices in fantasy and escapism. The BVA found that the bestselling film of the year so far has been Ratatouille, the animated story of a young rat called Remy, which has sold more than 1.2 million copies. Stardust, Atonement and The Golden Compass have performed well, each selling more than 800,000 DVDs.

The figures echo a similar trend in the gaming industry, which also suggest that home entertainment is on the rise as Joe Public counts the pennies. Last week Game Group said that it would beat expectations in the first half of the year because of strong growth in the video games market.

The BVA added that there had been huge growth in sales of Blu-ray discs, which were up 506 per cent over the past year.

He's full of it, giving it the "horny" this and "cheap as chips" !

Anybody only has to read the Tandem threads so see what a two faced
liar he is, when he's in he ramps the hell out of it and then he starts
slagging them off when he sells out, he has no respect for other holders
and he is one of the most arrogant posters around, all the football has
gone to his head, you can clearly see he idolises that football manager
of his because he wants to be just as arrogant as he is :-))

LoL - 'I'm off filter' - you daren't take me off filter - it's the only way you get decent leads!

Told you these and TND were going down - you ewouldn't have it. TAIH falling too - do you have anything going up?

For a guy that had me filtered you know I'm heavy in cash! (actually the wife's pen has stocks in it and my pen has a few GDWN like her's but aside from that the portfolio and ISA's are all cash).

You're crazy being heavily invested in this market - follow the charts and only buy in a rising market imo. We have yet to have a big capitulation that the market needs to see a bottom imo. VIX needs to rise sharply, Dow Transport has to be beating the Dow. If you think Small Caps are cheap you ain't seen nothing yet - could be another 10% to go in the FTSE 250 or more - that will wipe 30% of the micro caps you hold with the illiquidity and huge spreads.

'You can say when you sell' lolololol. FLO - disappeared from there without saying you sold - and it cost ya! Gravy, the troll that hates trolls!
