12/12/2013 10:17 | Yep, seems that way. It was always on the cards that there just might not be any oil down there. On that basis, selling our rights to it will be viewed, through our rear view mirror, as shrewd. From day one I've been investing in an agri company though and the black stuff has only ever been a potential bonus. It's had no effect on the share price I note. | oiht
09/12/2013 19:53 | so... no more money from Marathon for a while, if ever? | eipgam
09/12/2013 07:08 | Extract from African Oil RNS this morning; December 9, 2013 (AOITSXV, AOINASDAQ OMX) ... Africa Oil Corp. ("Africa Oil" or the "Company") would like to provide the following operational update on its activities in Kenya and Ethiopia. ...In the South Omo block in Ethiopia, the Tutule-1 well has reached a total depth of 2101 meters. The well encountered a section similar to the nearby Sabisa-1 well in the upper portion of the well but the sands which appeared to be oil saturated in the Sabisa well were not present on the Tutule horst block feature with multiple volcanic units and shales in this section. There were gas shows in the section which point to a potential hydrocarbon source and the results of these two wells will be analyzed to determine the future exploration program direction in the North Turkana Basin. The OGEC rig will be moved to the Chew Bahir basin to drill the Shimela prospect in the eastern portion of the South Omo permit where new seismic has delineated a number of new prospects and potential source basins. Due to the lengthy move and extensive civil works, this well is not expected to spud until the end of the first quarter of 2014. | the count of monte_cristo
08/12/2013 15:30 | Elections due next year I believe, probably continued issues until the elections are sorted, this could result in the AGTA share price being kept low, IMHO. Moz is growing very fast, however the Gov need to ensure that the masses take part in this growth story and its not a select few who amass huge personal fortunes, otherwise they are building up a major future problem. Suppose the same could be said for many of these African countries that are rich in resources. | the count of monte_cristo
06/12/2013 19:53 | Election results have now been declared so who knows if the attacks were only pre-poll scare tactics or a longer term situation. | cyfran101
06/12/2013 19:46 | Basically the same issue that drove the price lower previously has arisen again. hxxp://www.news24.co | cyfran101
05/12/2013 10:37 | You are making the mistake of applying logic to an irrational market ;) | king suarez
05/12/2013 09:44 | Fair point, just thought with the well at South Omo nearly at target depth people should be buying, not selling. | 4sta
05/12/2013 09:37 | It's AIM, why not? | king suarez
05/12/2013 08:43 | why the sells? | 4sta

27/11/2013 11:28 | Yeah, I like Shawshank as well. Probably my favourite though is Forest Gump. Story of a none too bright fella but whose heart's in the right place and is successful against all the odds. Reminds me of my brother :) | oiht
27/11/2013 07:13 | Ha ha:) You know your films jimmy! Nice:) Love that film, kind of similar in a way to The Count of Monte Cristo I guess, man wrongly accused of a crime, gets punished and sent to jail for decades, but eventually gets his revenge on the people who committed crimes against him, whilst espcaping from his prison a better stronger man along with a fortune. | the count of monte_cristo

25/11/2013 19:21 | Some experts keep calling these mining stocks completely wrong... e.g. The Can't Count of Monte Cristo (who can't spell or pick stocks either) The Count of Monte_Cristo 23 Apr'12 - 13:55 - 106 of 416 0 0 There are other companies out there with equally, if not better, prospects. But yeah for sure, TGL is looking good and todays RNS was positive. | stockologist
25/11/2013 18:47 | Possibly on the back of zambeefs results stating the issue they have had with beef exports, not going to effect us though too much demand more likely to be our issue. | swooped |
