26/3/2010 20:32 | phil140158 - 23 Mar'10 - 19:22 - 360 of 362 Now go away and be quiet! Hi phil. Sorry to have disturbed you. I promise to keep quiet until we hit £15 ! | bluebelle
26/3/2010 20:24 | This still going as well as some goldies. Don't know of many temp power suppliers. Seems a damned good co but thinking of taking some profits. | edjge2
26/3/2010 18:31 | Temporary power and heating specialist Aggreko has won a 35m contract to help alleviate the Côte d'Ivoire's problems with power cuts. www.advfn.com | eipgam
23/3/2010 19:22 | bluebelle - there's been more posts today than the past month! I often check the AGK board, but it's so quiet I don't usually post. Bit like waking a baby! Bought in about 540 and got out with a good profit at 770 or so 'cos I thought it was overvalued. Just goes to show what I know. I'm worried that it has become a bit of a one trick pony. The core rental business is toiling and it is now valued as a provider of emergency power which is not exactly rocket science. Still they do it well. Great Scottish company, just down the road from me. Now go away and be quiet! | phil140158

23/3/2010 17:47 | did something similar myself - never thought it would go this high so soon! | bountyhunter
23/3/2010 17:17 | IN at £3.20 when the last chairman left, but I bought too soon as the market didn't like it. Sold half at 7.70 only 5 months ago! ATH today | eipgam
23/3/2010 10:42 | Wonder if there's any chance of advfn listing their BB companies by activity level: I suspect that buying a portfolio of the, say, 10 companies with the least active bulletin boards and going short on the 10 with the most active would be a spectacularly successful long term investment strategy !!! | bluebelle
23/3/2010 10:14 | Yes. bought 3 years ago at 460 when they acquired the GE business and still holding and happy! | trexpert
23/3/2010 09:48 | I'm still holding (although i did sell half too early)... yoo hoo! anyone else here? | eipgam
12/3/2010 09:40 | Well done all you guys that held on. I sold this (and others) far too early. Has anyone had any dealings with a company called MF Global ? I believe their website is www.dealatmfglobal.c This is not a plug - Just that I'm thinking of changing who I deal with. Freddie | flatoutfred
03/3/2010 14:03 | Thanks Phil and yeah, I thought they might hit the magic £3 but was happy with what I had. I've also got 35k AMER at 14.15 with NO stop loss - gonna let this one run to at least 28.50 - I hope !! lol Freddie P.S. Sold AU. way too early dammit ! | flatoutfred
03/3/2010 13:50 | Freddie, disappointing market response to great results from CLLN. I'm holding for the divi. I'll need to wait a bit longer to get back into AGK me thinks. Good luck with the flats. Phil | phil140158
03/3/2010 13:45 | Not a "MUG" that makes a profit Phil. My stop loss triggered at 10.30 so out just now but will defo be back. In fact I've sold a lot of stuff today. AU. BA. CLLN. AGK Not sure where I want to be now. Very nervous about the election and the economy in general and feel that a nasty correction could be looming. I'm still in the red with the rest i.e. RBS. LLOY. SEO. SYM. though not too bothered about them (except for SEO which will be a write off methinks) The only blue I have left is HGM but I've tightened the stop loss on that too and expect it will be triggered this week. There's a couple of repossesed flats in town coming on the market next week so I might just sink the money into that instead. We'll see. Thanks everyone - One of the better BBs this. Freddie | flatoutfred
03/3/2010 12:11 | Freddie, lots of PIs have big profits on AGKs fantastic run. 200k sells, 180k buys today. Level 2 not great, total buy and sell orders more or less in balance. Profit taking I think. Whether to sell depends on what you think the results are going to be like. I bought in at 550 in the middle of last year after the share price slump post results, I sold out at 700 or so 'cos I didn't think it would go any higher. (MUG!!!!) All IMHO of course. Good luck. Phil | phil140158
03/3/2010 09:43 | Where's all the experts gone ? Is it now time to "sell on news" ? Freddie | flatoutfred
02/3/2010 11:24 | Aggreko resumed its charge up the table... | investinggarden |
