The trading volume and reflected price now is reassuring of good things to come within the timeframe as advised by Middleby Corp there is still time to get in.....

As I'm sure you know Salty, we do get an investor perk:

"If you own 5,000 shares and spend £500 or more in AGA Shops, Fired Earth or Divertimenti stores you qualify for a 10% discount up to a maximum of £500 or currency equivalent."

Shares, new Aga and a discount. Everyone is happy.

The reason I bought in here is down to my wife lusting after their new range of appliances. They have really done well to develop the brand and push it into the trendy area of the market. The aga brand has always carried an up-market feel, but kitchens and stylish appliances are really 'in' as a result of the popularity of shows such as Masterchef and Bake-off.

Accepted that the pension situation is an issue but the deficit will disappear once the great reversion gets underway in the bond market. It's not a question of if, but when rates will increase. The folks at middleby are no mugs and they clearly recognise the fact that Aga rangemaster products are hitting a sweet spot at the moment and i think this company will do well over the next few years as a result.

Salty.

There is without doubt something to consider the estimated share price can only be accessed around 1.90 and therefore has to be with merit and plausible a strong buy and hold

Does anyone have access to Alphaville? There's a value assessment there but I can only access part of it and I don't think it accounts for the pension dificit:-

16 hours ago - Note the value of middle-class brands with no obvious product differentiation. BE. Farrow & Ball was bought ... Based upon our forecasts and using a 10x EBITDA multiple for core heritage brands and 6x all the others we believe Aga's assets are worth c310p rising to c350p next year. Given future synergy ...

Sorry if already posted.

This could drag on for a couple of months yet, with lots of false rumours on the way- both positive and negative.
Best to remember W B s advice-"I like to buy when there is a sale on".You can lose out buying on up days like today.

I have topped up this morning on the basis that a bidder would probably bid 140-150 .If the bid falls through then the present price of 130 looks achievable on the next results.
