28/3/2011 10:07 | RNS now out and it seems to be the same holdings. Interesting to speculate that they may have seen an opportunity to take on the AGA pension fund but that has now passed as the scheme moves to surplus and so the benefits will now accrue to the shareholders. Newspaper comment was that institutional investors were reluctant to buy AGA shares while they were aware 20% of the company was held by a seller. | smicker
25/3/2011 20:58 | Nice to see it went at such a small discount and we finished up. I wish all large overhangs were so easily dealt with!! Having said that, this cant account for the 20m volume on its own as its only 13m. Looking at the share register on the company website there is another holder called Pension Security Insurance Corporation limited who held 3.7m. Very similar names but i'm not sure if its the same company behind both. Both these still dont add up to the 20m. Whatever, over 25% of the company changing hands at 124 should provide some downside support. | smicker
25/3/2011 20:40 | Pension Insurance Corporation 13,155,000. 19.00% Placed their shareholding, small snippet on ft marketslive today. | darlocst
25/3/2011 20:19 | All the volume took place at 124 in a large number of seperate deals while the bid and offer were way above it. Cant make any sense of it at all. Is there any significance that we're near the end of the tax year. Is this some sort of portfolio tidy up possibly. Even so why have so many separate deals? | smicker

20/3/2011 12:53 | AGA seems to be holding its own despite lack of upturn in the housing market generally. Not sure why, they are an expensive piece of kit. But not grumbling.AGA are still a great heating/cooking device. When we had one all our friends sort of drifted to the kitchen just to stand/lean by our AGA - luckily we had a big kitchen - in an otherwise draughty Victorian house. So in memorium; call me sentimental if you like; but no way am parting with these shares - well not just yet anyway. Ssords | ssords
