06/10/2010 12:15 | PJ & Duncan...i think you have to search high and low to find a post where i said you were jealous of his success!!!!!!!! LOL...utter tripe mate | chapchip
06/10/2010 12:13 | pjdeery- I don't even know who you are. | mclellan
06/10/2010 12:11 | 13th August 2010: "African Diamonds advises that it has received an unsolicited proposal regarding a potential offer to acquire the entire issued and to be issued share capital of the Company." the_curmudgeon, it might be that that was for the whole company, but surely that's just a lost detail? I would say you can't tell from the text of the RNS announcement. However, since AFD and LUC would no doubt be talking to each other all the time, I would not expect an offer from LUC to come out the way it happened in August. It would just be announced. The phrase "unsolicited proposal" doesn't ring true if that was LUC. | arf dysg

06/10/2010 11:45 | the_curm...no problem. | mclellan
06/10/2010 11:44 | rainfall- LUC are part of the Lundin Group who are huge, so it is nonsense to say they are second rate. How nasty of you to turn on JC. He has a good reputaion in the industry. | mclellan
06/10/2010 11:43 | Very good post Jungle Jim. | undecided
06/10/2010 11:33 | Jungle Jim > I think you are being too charitable. AFD did not find ak6, it was given to them by debeers, they were simply lucky. No skill involved.! - apart from that, your post was excellent. | tanelorn
06/10/2010 11:32 | buck i am 62 not 22 i have been here 9 years and are not prepared to waste more time .i decided to move and do what i am good at that is why i have plenty. luc are a second rate company andwill be for a long time .they will have JC in there camp . | rainfall
06/10/2010 11:32 | mclellan - thanks for that | the_curmudgeon
06/10/2010 11:29 | Reddish Tinge is slavishly copying over any negative posts, like yours, Jim, to the PET thread. | mclellan
06/10/2010 11:23 | guys - don't forget - the first approach was for ALL OF AFD. to me this reinforces the notion that it was a different party (not LUC) as we now see that LUC only want AK6. i would not rule out another bid. | the_curmudgeon
06/10/2010 11:20 | the_curm- just sent it to you..and to Jungle Jim! | mclellan
06/10/2010 11:17 | AFD had two proposals re the finacing and both were attractive...apparen | chapchip
06/10/2010 11:16 | mclellan - you mentioned an update? care to share it? TIA | the_curmudgeon
06/10/2010 11:13 | Jungle Jim- "If it is true that they were having trouble raising finance, I am not entirely surprised" I don't think it is true. Lots of liars residing on this thread. | mclellan
06/10/2010 11:06 | As I am about to discuss AFD and not slag off any other poster, does that make this post off-topic? Ludders, although I share your sentiments, you ought to watch what you post as you might be getting close to slander or libel or whatever. The legal eagles are taking a more agressive stance on BB posts these days I believe. If it hits 30p I will buy more as it ought to then effectively give me a 25% discount on the LUC shares (assuming they don't drop which I think they won't). Then I get a 'free' 7p worth of Newco shares as well. Not that I want them as I will bail as soon as I can on those. I have to admit I am getting a bit cheesed off with Teeling's new modus operandi. Pan, take ten years to decrease the value of the company then sell out at a low price. Put the rump of the business into a merger with another Teeling business that made absolutely no progress during it's life, change name, change direction and promise 'the next big thing is oil in Ghana, honest'. AFD, world class this, that and the other, worth shed loads, then sold out at a low price. Take the rump of the company which will now be the next big thing (great, do another AK6 with AK8, I look forward to that). The directors say it's worth 7p. Yep, we believe everything they tell us now, don't we? WAD into Stellar. Stellar looked like it was walked down to allow those in the know to pile up the cheap shares and severely dilute the WAD holders. The only people I can see winning in all this are the people on the payroll. The shareholders are getting royally screwed every time. This mistrust of Teeling and his motives seems to appear more and more often on the bb's. If it is true that they were having trouble raising finance, I am not entirely surprised. | jungle jim |
