Change of name to AfriAg Global Plc

Significant Update on Global Activities.

AfriAg PLC (ISDX:AFRI), the rapidly expanding London listed global logistics and food sales group is pleased to announce it will be changing its name to AfriAg Global Plc (“AfriAg Global”) to reflect the dramatic changes seen by the business since its birth only a few years ago from an African centric bespoke food logistics business to one that now provides global logistics, food marketing and bespoke distribution services to many of the globe’s major corporations in many countries around the world.

The Company will advise when the change of name will take effect, which is expected to be within the next week.

The current AfriAg family, comprising AfriAg Marketing Pty Ltd ("AfriAg Marketing"), the 100% owned food sales, marketing and distribution division, and our 40% owned specialist African agri-logistics group AfriAg SA (Pty) Ltd ("AfriAg SA"), will proudly continue to trade under the existing well established and highly recognised AfriAg Brand.

Record Airfreight – 6 months to 30 June 30 2016:

A record total of 1,450,627 kg of perishable goods was airfreighted globally for the first calender six months from 1 January 2016 to 30 June 2016, with another record of 439,998 kg being airfreighted in a one month period to many destinations around the world just for last monh alone by AfriAg SA.

This is an increase of about 60% from the 907,000 kg of perishable goods air freighted for the same period last year.

David Lenigas, the Company’s Executive Chairman, commented;

“The Company is experiencing one of the most exciting and explosive growth periods of its young life and has now morphed in to a truly global logistics business, hence the name change to reflect today’s  true “global” nature of the business.”
