AfriAg Global – New UK Based Fresh Food Marketing Division

AfriAg Global PLC (ISDX: AFRI) announces that it has launched a new 100% owned UK subsidiary, AfriAg International Limited (“AfriAg International”), to promote and sell fresh food produce from southern African producers directly in to the UK and European market places.

AfriAg International is represented in the UK by Mr Tim Stokes working under the management of AfriAg Marketing, the Company’s 100% owned South African food sales and market division.

AfriAg International will provide a UK representational base for AfriAg Marketing’s Sub-Saharan based growers, who are already permitted to sell their fresh food produce directly in to the EU markets, and provide them with direct access to UK and European retailers.

AfriAg International intends to offer fresh food and vegetables from producers across Kenya, Zimbabwe, Mauritius and South Africa that are sustainable, renewable and responsibly grown.

Our fresh produce offer will include: Apples, Pears, Blueberries, Physalis, Lychees, Citrus, Table Grapes, Fine beans, Sugar snap, Mange tout, Pineapples, Passionfruit, Herbs, Chilies, Butternut and Sweet potatoes.

David Lenigas, AfriAg Global’s Executive Chairman, commented;

“We feel this new division fills a gap in the market place. It will also diversify our supply base, feed our logistics business and can potentially offer better benefits back to the primary grower by way of increased margins.”

not buying any south african production. stuff gets picked up not ripe and gets shipped to UK. it is simply bland. Also it is quite expensive compared with local and EU stuff. Well- someone has to pay airfare. there are better options- support UK farmer for example. Then there is EU farmers. I know, after Brexit people might be not so keen on EU, but hey- food has to comply with stringent regulations. cannot spray whatever chemicals you like. jabba is happy that he is sending herbs to UK. who cares? all you need is a window, pot and some seeds. herbs are the easiest thing to grow. No need to waste money and pay 10 times markup and create more global warming.

So it is big no no on my list. Then there is AFRI shares... most will get spiked and impaled, just like with any DL companies. Shares used to be almost 2, and now it is on mickey mouse exchange trading just at a fraction and no one cares. jabba is the only one pumping it by placing ridiculously small buying orders.

get the chiefs, to chat with the chief, my master, my masters - super mega volume vision pls

With oil not able to sustain the economy anymore, attention is shifting to agriculture which, decades ago, was the propeller of the then buoyant economy. This is one of the reasons the President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, made a foray into productive agriculture. Last week, he launched his Dangote Rice Outgrowers Scheme in Hadejia, Kafin-Hausa local government area of Jigawa State.

at the request of customers seeking a new consistent, sustainable and reliable

"This will be AfriAg's first year of this herb production and export programme
and we see this business as one we can grow significantly over the coming
years."

David Lenigas, the Company’s Executive Chairman, commented;

“The Company is experiencing one of the most exciting and explosive growth periods of its young life and has now morphed in to a truly global logistics business, hence the name change to reflect today’s true “global” nature of the business.”

“AfriAg is no longer only a dream of moving perishable food around southern Africa to a first world standard, but now flying and shipping the best African export quality to the global market place. The business has now developed in to a much larger and more global enterprise.”

“AfriAg now operates logistics services to many major global cities and ports around the globe. The Company has turned into a truly global enterprise and we see tremendous growth from this springboard. We are are now one of the largest airfreighters of perishable food out of southern Africa using the some of the world’s largest airlines and providing bespoke first world logistics all over the world through our rapidly expanding global network of airlines and agents.

“Not only are we exporting millions of kilograms a year of freshly grown African food and perishable goods to many destinations around the globe with some of the worlds biggest airlines and household recognised corporations, and trucking and shipping tens of thousands of tonnes a year by sea and our bespoke refridgerated fleet, AfriAg is now importing thousands of tonnes of food a month into Africa from the USA, Europe and South America.

“AfriAg is doing what it was originally set up for: to create a true global logistics business that additionally helps feed people, provide jobs to the agricultural sectors of not only Africa and puts food on families tables that is safe, good value and as fresh as possible.”

Board Changes and Operations Update

AfriAg PLC (ISDX:AFRI), the rapidly expanding London listed African focused agri-logistics and food sales company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr David Lenigas as the new Executive Chairman of the Company. Mr Hamish Harris will assume the position of Non-Executive Director going forward.

David Lenigas has extensive first hand corporate and operational experience with the Company, having previously served as Executive Chairman of the Company until the end of 2015. He is the Chairman of AfriAg’s 100% owned food sales, marketing and export division, AfriAg Marketing (Pty) Limited in South Africa and is also Chairman of the company’s 40% owned Agri-logistics AfriAg SA (Pty) Limited in South Africa.

David Lenigas, the Company’s new Executive Chairman, commented;

“I’m excited to be heading up AfriAg once again as the Company continues its expansion. The Company has seen significant growth from its birth only a few years ago and I plan to assist the team accelerate this growth over the coming years as many countries in the world rely more and more on African fresh produce as a proportion of their overall food import equation to feed their growing populations.”

“The recent referendum result in the UK to potentially leave the European Union should have little impact on AfriAg’s business of exporting African fresh food to the global marketplace as the business trades in multiple currencies. Indeed, the Company sees additional opportunities arising from this situation.”

Update on Operations:

AfriAg Marketing Pty Ltd ("AfriAg Marketing"), the 100% owned food sales, marketing and export division, which grew in excess of 400% in 2015 with full year revenues of South African Rand (“ZAR”) 38.395 million (approximately £1,9 million), continues to motor ahead in 2016.

Unaudited management accounts for the year to 24th June 2016 (nearly 6 months) shows significant revenue growth to ZAR 29.7 million (approximately £1.47 million), with month to date revenues to 24th June of ZAR 7.1 million (approximately £0.35 million).

This month, AfriAg Marketing is primarily selling and exporting significant quantities of:

Peas (sugar snap and mange tout) to Holland, UK and New Zealand (air-freight)

An update on our 40% owned specialist African agri-logistics group AfriAg SA (Pty) Ltd ("AfriAg SA") which reported full year revenues to 31 December 2015 of ZAR 119.522 million (approximately £6.155 million) will be provided in the Company’s Interims in the next few months.

Brexiters write rubbish. In case of brexit you will need to change your EU/UK car plates. At minimum it will require a sticker, but as these peel off, you might need new car plates.

What about UK/EU drivers license? You will not be able to drive with nonexistant union drivers license. So add a fee to your brexit.then how about most important- EU/UK passport????

Just check what does your passport says on the cover??? "European Union United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland passport"

In case of brexit you cannot travel the world with not current documents!!!!!!!!!

Imagine cues in passport offices, post offices, etc etc.

Brexiters full of rubbish. Oh, and your bank accounts will be lighter too, since DL will not sponsor your document exchanges.

Vote REMAIN!!!!
