Always an interesting take reading stories of the thoughts of shareholders who have lost money. In Afrens case it seems the main problem that many shareholders failed to understand is that the company employed staff who were only agreeing to be employed because they were able to make good money regardless of the companies prospects. Is it any wonder shareholders got skinned alive, what did they think they were doing running the company for fun or for charity? The whole reason these guys get out of bed is to make themselves wealthy. When will the lowly investor realise this fact. Why are there always an army of mugs waiting to fund others?

Probably see glencore go the same way as this dog. Too many deluded shareholders buying more and the share price keeps dropping, it ends at 0p

Greygeorge,
Hopefully you will see this on the one you watch.
I've deleted my account on lse now as I didn't like the poster I was becoming, it comes naturally to you lol!
I'm done with this now, at least no more gulible posters can be taken in by the idiots on there, unless they have to cough up for the legal action of course!
Good luck with your investments,
Andy.

End of the road, situation beyond dire.

Cash-strapped oil producers, unable to pay salaries and provide social services, increase the risk of social instability.

Anybody else use London South East, Afren BB, it's unobtainable now Afren has de-listed from Ftse 100

Seems a shame you can't go on discussing a defunct share (on LSE)

Hope we can continue on ADVFN

I suspect they are waiting for the administrators to declare nil value. It wont be that long; what the muppets on LSE no doubt don't understand is everything has work commitments which need paying for so the assets can't just be left on the shelf. Not even counting the time value of money. 2 months tops IMO. Having said that I can wait, 100% is a rate of return I can be patient for.

A Nigerian once told me, keep clear of African stocks, they are generally run by crooks & thieves and even he doesn't invest in his own Continent!

Learn the lessons from AFREN!

As soon as it becomes clear that directors are stealing from the company or are deliberately misleading investors don't call FCA / Regulators / lawyers / the shareholder action group / the police, call your broker and say SELL NOW.

There is no reverse Newtonian law that says what goes down must go up.

Averaging down to try to get money back is a complete mug's game.

People who say you only really lose when you sell do not know what they are talking about.

Do not worry that the share price might bounce after you sell, it may well do, but the chances of you calling it right and not just losing more money are slim.

Never hang on to vote at an AGM / EGM, it makes no difference. Always vote with your feet and sell. If you still want to cause grief as a shareholder then just keep a tiny amount so you can remain a shareholder and still give them grief.

agreed, in reality a bit of both becasue they probably only hedge above a certain risk level. But the point remains is that they are in it for the long term returns of repeated client trades not short term games.

Look what happened to PLUS500 when people figured out that they were pursuing a more 'agressive' strategy than the rest of the industry.
