27/12/2013 07:29 | Checked TD this morning, still zilch. If they cared about their business, they would think it prudent to get the money sorted so it can be reinvested. | che7win
27/12/2013 06:31 | When do loan notes list.. any place to get price/trade information for them? | taffer87
24/12/2013 22:30 | Noirua - after all the traumatic hassle PIs have been subjected to throughout this dismal deal I do not want anything to do with IMIC save for receipt of my cash in short order, and their Loan Note Certificates which I have reluctantly been obliged to take on board. | albertedwin
24/12/2013 21:24 | For anyone looking for a safer option the investment trust Black Rock World Mining springs to mind BRWM. A market cap of around £800 million at a price of £4.50 per share. (NAV £4.88p). The share price is well off its past highs and it has got stakes in some of the top world mining companies. Also pays dividends. When mining shares start to recover I think this one will also, but it is one for those with patience. The returns should be steady but not spectacular although it is difficult to tell whether it recently bottomed out at £4.30. I have been drip feeding funds into it from £4.55p downwards and it is now turning back up again but keeping a close eye on it. BRCI is another mining investment trust I have been watching (also well off its past highs) but it does not trade at a discount to its NAV at this time. | knil
24/12/2013 14:52 | Cash received in both my holdings / different brokers but not the loan notes. Nothing mentioned on these. Still not sure what do with a decent lump of cash - not interested in AIM stocks.Where are folks putting their AFF money...Will probably put the majority into safer but less interesting funds as I know I don't have the time/or success to stock pick. But will go direct for a smaller percentage. | nickdr99
24/12/2013 13:36 | oggy - mine are in an ISA too, presume they haven't received the loan notes yet but not sure how'll they'll show when they do. | woodpeckers
24/12/2013 13:31 | ALBERTEDWIN - ask IMIC! | noirua
24/12/2013 11:41 | Noirua - why are Certificate Holders being thus further disadvantaged ? | albertedwin
24/12/2013 09:46 | Two of my brokers have credited everything but TDW still shows the old Afferro holdings. I don't really need three UK brokers so I will rundown the TDW account and close it out -- I have increasingly disliked this broker since the name change. NatWest use TDW's trading platform and are, accordingly, equally damaged by this debacle. My HL broker was very sharp this time round and TDW were beaten by Barclays, hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Certificated holdings are credited on 31st December or cheques sent out. | noirua
24/12/2013 09:27 | I am a Certificate Holder and have received nothing yet either, and was hoping for a Happy Christmas | | albertedwin

23/12/2013 16:44 | I have small spreadbetting position opened with IG index and still has not been concluded. | t 34
23/12/2013 12:03 | Still nothing at TDWs - getting effing annoyed now | nav_mike
23/12/2013 11:34 | speedsgh - many thanks indeed for your latest post 42107. I will bear this in mind when referring my own position to my Accountants and ask that they give specific attention as to possible differences between the personal and corporation tax position. In the meantime please accept my best wishes for a Happy Christmas to yourself and the other participants on this helpful and constructive thread. | albertedwin
23/12/2013 10:12 | ALBERT - just to let you know that i have gone back to our accountants + their previous advice on the corporation tax treatment of the cash payment + the convertibles is unchanged. see my previous post | speedsgh
23/12/2013 09:59 | Precisely 40p.... | spencer29
23/12/2013 09:58 | spencer29 What price are the loan notes showing? | jimcar
23/12/2013 09:52 | All brokers have the cash and details of the loan notes that should be listed as part of our stock portfolio. HL have improved after complaints recently and were on the ball with some more expensive brokers; Banks as usual show they are as bad as ever, unless you know better. | noirua
23/12/2013 09:42 | X-o showed funds on 20th | smith99
23/12/2013 09:40 | Just checked my isa, with h-l.... Loan notes appear to be there! | spencer29
23/12/2013 08:32 | Nothing showing in my TDW account nor is the dividend payment due on Dec 20th from another of my holdings PAF. | gofers
22/12/2013 07:45 | My broker notified me that they received funds into their client account on 20th, then charged me £25! They have no information as to the loan notes or where they will be listed. | irenekent |
