Is it going to be today? as Thursday is their favorite for the results. But being the 13th I'd be happy until next week.

Clear as mud CT! So it will drop by 10p or rise by 10p, umm!

Everybody who's looked here know the share price is grossly under priced.

Suppose I'll soon have to find spend another divi, it's all pressure :-)

Mark1000 - To clarify. I expected to see 20p before the unexpected last divi but I missed that bounce but that supported it to the 28-30 levels we have seen. Running towards further news and another divi I have expected to see the higher levels breached again before falling back towards 20p unless of course they pull another bunny out the hat, as I will be surprised if they have gained a lot of business.

CT - Thought you were a 20 p man never had you down as an optimist. I sit in the 35p camp with a 6p dividend 3p + 3p special and half the market capitalisation in cash and no debt this share has its pluses shame that profits shooting upwards year after year is not one of them.

Nice and steady to a target of 42p/45p this time around, with luck.

Last year they had a cracking second half - so I expect the comparison to be down but with luck they will be able to report a H1 expected to be running ahead of last year. Of course the 3p divi to be maintained some words of caution on H2 and brexit
and we should see the share price back in the mid thirties IMHO.

I'm not playing your game CT ... I remain a significant holder here and recently bought a few more .... the clues suggested by the news articles suggest this could be a mild upside year but we will see ...

News becomes "Insights" LOL - ramas it sounds as though you are not certain that things are as positive as many thought, or as one would like them to be. 20p target with the prospect of the dividend supporting it, still a great long term safe investment if anyone is looking for locking funds in an ISA.

Agreed ... Strange trading lots of small buys and a few chunky sells ....that said I think the dividend is underpinned even if it's an average year

26 days to get the interims out and nearly 4 months for the finals doesn't help things. Does not help newsflow does not help shareholders.

I know the finals are audited but how many customers have they got? I bet they knew the numbers 1st July!

tiswas cannot say that AEO are ever gushing about prospects I am happy as it is with this excellent dividend.

But there was plenty of caution also in that statement so make of it what you will!

That will do me a stronger 2nd half expected as reported so no change on below from int result.

Pre-tax profits of GBP80,476 on a turnover of GBP1,591,114
-- Stronger second half anticipated, consistent with previous years
-- Robust cash position of GBP1,372,589

Hi ramas.

As I said above I am told there will be no trading update because nothing has changed since their last announcement.

The clues are there for a good year .... I would recommend attending the agm ... You need to research and play the long game with AEO and enjoy the wait with a 10% plus dividend, I think we may see a trading update soon and think it's very possible for a very good year and big dividend

I am quoted 30-34.75p today to buy/sell these. How can you invest with this sort of spread?

I do communicate with management via email and they do always respond promptly. But being so small they do not want to pay for expensive broker reports, which I agree with, but they also seem unable to offer any firm guidance. Surely they must have known the results on the 1st July considering the number of customers/contracts they have.

Directors also own a lot of shares but they seem pretty resigned to the fact that the share price is going nowhere and there is nothing they can do about it. Their base salaries are pretty low and so they rely on a good dividend to supplement their pay.

I can not think of any reason they actually need outside shareholders with their cash flow profile, they could make an internal market for employees. The only hope is that someone fancies them as a bolt on for a larger media group but would the directors be prepared to work for someone?

I think what I am saying is that although I like their industry, the directors and their product, little is going to happen to set these shares alight. They are too illiquid and under researched to adjust in price for the high dividend, assuming it is there for the long term.

Anyone else agree?

Apparently no trading update as nothing has changed.

Very difficult to want to hold this share in any size because no broker forecasts that I can see and the company last statement was we hope to make a bit more in the second half but cautious.

Yes we will almost certainly get a decent divi but still cannot see where the capital growth is going to come from. Chart is awful.

Looks like nothing now until the finals in October. No forecasts out there that I can see. Frustrating but I will sit tight if I get my 3-5p per annum.

Did daviddosh take his interest any further?
