Did no one else see the late trade at a premium on 128,000 shares at 9.875 pence yesterday?

News on our Twitter feed today:

Green Compliance to provide feasibility assessment for borehole water supplies to their wide-ranging client base around the UK – including developers and major service providers. The provision of water from a ‘private’; borehole supply improves security and greatly reduces operating costs.

Pug: Your words of caution are justified but if the Lighting division is one of the fallers, IMHO what is left will be far more profitable and possibly worth as much as the share price today.
Regarding Energy Harvesting Europe, from the exhibitor listing only about 10% of those companies are remotely involved in EH but the exhibitor list does not segregate. IOT is well represented but they are the manufacturers, not the distributers and I am sure APC will be visiting them in the hope of adding more distribution franchises as will there peers.
Where APC/Minimise differentiate themselves is that they appear to be targeting facility management of large organisations and once that happens they will be very difficult to budge.

ST:_

* While pressure is undoubtedly on carbon reduction the way forward is convoluted and many will fall by the wayside.

* It is also a very crowded field - For example just have a look at the number of exhibitors at :-

also have a look at the number of exhibitors at the co-located conferences - Some real heavyweights -

Energy Harvesting Europe is co-located alongside a series of synergistic events on wearable, sensors, 3D printing, graphene & 2D materials and printed electronics. Each of these is a full two-day executive conferences, co-located with a common exhibition. We co-locate these events because there is strong overlap across these topics, exposing you to the full relevant supply chains and customer and supplier bases, saving you time and money from attending separate events.

Pug,

There are two sides to this coin the distribution side which has already a well established profitable and cash generation business and the other side, the Cleantech business which is forecast to gain traction this year.

In the meantime zero carbon to become enshrined in law...

ST: But very many will fail on the way - At a rough guess probably only 1 in 20 will survive and only 1 in 80 will make investors real money.

APC are (imo) a facilator or integrator and not an originator - If Richard H manages to keep contracts costs under control and mentain margins then they ought to be profitable but will never be (imo) a mega-bagger.

If management achieve their stated objectives then shareholders should achieve reasonable growth over a 3-5 year period BUT if they fail then the coy could well fall to a vulture.

Jury is very much out at the moment and I await the next 2 or 3 trading updates and probably 18 months of trading results before the direction is clear.

rinson the technology will encompass a whole range of other product offering in the "Internet of Things" of which APC will be involved in as the years progress.

Its surprising how quickly some will come off, mobile phone use surged when pay as u go came on stream.

We are on the cusp of the next revolution and it could develop a lot quicker than some think.

Simon: good point about self drive cars. I don't know too much about the technology involved but I suspect it will involve servos and electrical motors which will use lots of power. One of the biggest problems the motor industry will face is increased battery and alternator requirements. More weight and cost. On the APC Distribution website you will find that they offer a type of capacitor which eliminates the need for heavy batteries. I imagine a lot of research is going on in this area which could dramatically increase sales if adopted.

By the way have any of u guys been watching all the news reports on self drive cars?

Its a relative to "internet of things and sophisticated technologies which is bound to have an impact in APC in the future.

Cars will be driving themselves to peoples addresses and looking for parking spaces when they drop off their passengers. Its still early stages for cars but other areas its taking itself off far faster.

I suspect the company will continue to gain traction in its components business the coming months and years.

Looking at recent trading for the distribution business we are well ahead of brokers forecasts at the moment.

QS,

Rinson seems to me to be a sensible investor he isn't too concerned about volatility of share price its prospects that matter.

I reckon we will see more contract wins on the horizon now the funding has been sorted and that will add more imputes to the share price.

QS99: Don't worry about sellers, we need them to make shares available. In times of tranquility this stock historically has been thinly traded. The only way we will see sustained upward momentum is with continued news flow allowing those who have made their money to exit and new buyers to come in. I have faith in the company to deliver, right products, right markets, right time so I to am adding to my holdings thus reducing my average price. Almost there but then in for the long haul.
