LMH, just goes to show that you can be sensible and a good contributor when you want to...

P.S. I bet Greystone is looking furiously through his list at this very moment :-)

To my Lady
I do agree with your figures, I was working on the £5+ VAT per month model which is the subscription I pay and also assuming a 20 year span, if I am lucky!
The majority of the traders on the thread have had an excellent couple of weeks trading together, sharing ideas and basically working for each other.
I may be wrong but I do not know anybody who gets the PBB service for free who does not work for ADVFN.
Nice to talk to you again
D.

Kayak, Pigs might Fly. I am not attacking anyone.

You guys are very good at spotting me when I want to, I have held one name for 5 months posted regularly, and nobody has spotted me :-) Even got a Greystone award one week :-) Hohoho

BTW, LMH, maybe if you stopped attacking ADVFN and its directors you'd stop getting removed and there would be no need to benefit from an amnesty? Just a thought :-)

Hey Crocodile, mathematically The Lady challenges you :-

If you assume a PBB trader is going to live another 20 years on average. And is paying £41pm (incl vat) for PBB services, your mates have made more than £9840 each over the last 2 weeks. Come on that's a bit much isn't it ??

If you mean just the fiver a month then they would have to have made £1412 profit. Which is right ?

Many of the premium BBers get their subscriptions for free, hence the clique. Nobody wants to upset anyone.

I bet you more than 75% of trading premium BBers are losing money constantly.

To be honest the reason ADVFN got so many sign ups last night is much more likely to be the demise of Market-Eye rather than Ashley's valiant efforts.

I joined the PBB primarily because I make my living by share trading and I need to share ideas with like-minded individuals.
If you are serious about investing in the stock market the daily trading thread on the PBB must be the best thread on any financial BB anywhere.
It certainly is well worth the small monthly charge for the more professional trader who realizes you need to use all the tools available including charts and shorting to make a good profit on a regular basis.
Ashley unfortunately is an investor who seems to be showing a lack of knowledge by dismissing analysis and shorting as not necessary.
The last 2 weeks alone most of us on the PBB traders thread have made enough to cover our subscriptions for life!
If you also take share trading seriously then think about it, despite what Ashley says we always welcome new face's.
Croc..

PS We have also advanced to using upper and lower case on our thread title's as well which helps to reduce eye strain.

Don't know anything about the PBB but think the free BB is the best online.
As a comparative novice to the world of sharedealing, I find the experienced & well thought out posts, of others, to be extremely helpful.
I look at other BB's, but it's getting more difficult, on them, to sort out any useful info, from absolute twaddle. e.g. Clicked on a post, the other night, entitled Pilkington. Read multiple postings. Still don't know any more about the company than before. Seemed to be a textual love-in.

Ash,
I saw your mining posts started with the help of your usual suspects, it is somewhat regrettable that they got such little attention.

It would seem your repuation preceeds you. You are the sort of person who men shuffle away from when you join them standing at the pub urinal.
----------------------
When I last looked there were two current mining posts on PBB. One on Kenmare, one on Celtic. The last started by me not AJ. AJ's threads were commodity oriented. Even a cursory look at emphasis and style would have told you the difference. The fact that mining investors often find themselves together in some of the same quality plays should not come as a surprise. I'm no stalking horse for anyone or were you referring to the Kenmare thread? Ashley's first post on the Celtic thread was actually no.22. And it was politely disagreed with in some respects. But don't lets bring facts into this.........

following is a copy of a reply by me to sheds on another thread

I can understand why you cancelled Pbb, nearly did myself. Thought if I'm not posting and nobody else is either its self defeating. So I thought I'd choose a good un and make a bit of an effort, if others do to and the community gets bigger and we all end up jointly better informed as a result - thats cool.
-------
MB, the fact that you saw some kind of conspiracy is unfortunate.

One interesting point mentioned on the M/E BB is that ADVFN BB has too many posters which does raise the question can a BB become simply to big for its own good ?

Bullshare, is there a record for the number of times a single poster has had their membership cancelled ? Who is the winner between Ashley James, Crimestoppers and Bill Posters?

Why not offer an amnesty to these people ?

All: The PBB is less 'noisy'than the FBB and suits many people .

Jack:When streaming comes on you better tell Mrs R that you will not be home ever!!

BP:American express, sadly not, as they charge so much. However we take cheques, luncheon vouchers , old share certificates etc etc:-0

As for numbers, we have always had a good net increase every month.

Mike

PS I think addo ;-) fills in more registrations than A & K. Have a good w/end!!
