decent article in magazine today still problem with lack of volume will
hang on sooner or later will come good 800k finals should do it but thats 5 months away................also talking about buying another brand that could

I saw this on the Guardian unlimited

Actif Group, which owns the licence for the Elle clothing brand in the UK, moved up 1.75p to 9.25p after Seymour Pierce drew attention to the fact that the shares were trading on a 2005 price-to-earnings ratio of just over five.

momentume ie volumes is where the rise came from especially the 460k buy early on with delayed trades npt easy to sperate buys from sells expect it to have
had positive update in shares magazine or been tiped somewhere else ???

Settled down a bit now. Can't believe it jumped from 6.75p to 9.5p in a day! Dropped back a bit now but still looking good:)

I am happy to be benefitting from this. However, it all seems a bit supicious to rise so fast. I am wondering whether there is some insider dealing taking place....no doubt we will soon find out.

house broker seymour pierce just upped there note from buy to strong buy
with 1p eps for 2004 and 1.4 epx for 2005 P/e wont be this low forever
expect shares magazine to do posotive update this week

Solid results. Scheduled to make the bulk of its profit in 2nd half. So a lot depends on fair weather and getting the right look. Still optimistic but could be a long haul to double figures.

decent set of results hse broker says .8m on the cards or 1p eps on p/e of 7?

not for long but needs some press was tipped in shares mag they are bound to
update it next week after results

Results out and look very good considering the share price! It was a good rise today but I think there will be a much bigger bounce tomorrow as it needs some press....

Announcement of interim results for the six months ended 31 January 2004



Highlights


· Group turnover up 18.3% to £14.1 million (2003: £11.9 million)



· Gross margins up 0.1% at 50.5% (2003: 50.4%)



· Operating profit increased by 99% to £318,000 (2003: £160,000)



· Profit before tax increased by 209% to £275,000 (2003: £89,000)



· Earnings per share increased by 209% to 0.42p (2003: 0.14p)



· Declining sales trend in wholesale reversed



· UK flagship Elle retail stores opened in Glasgow and Birmingham



· One new Elle outlet store opened in Gunwharf Quays (Portsmouth)



Mark Evans, Chief Executive, commented on the results:

"I am pleased to report on a solid start to the financial year with Group sales and profits in line with market expectations. The Elle brand retail and wholesale businesses are showing sustained growth in both UK and European markets, and the Group continues to generate cash for reinvestment."
