Yes, I'm very pleased with this. Was looking to buy some BMS anyway, so will elect for more shares. They are both good companies, and should be quite an organisation together. Need to study the terms further, but on first sight very pleased.

Good merger even if the premium is small. BMS are a cracking company and pay good divis. They just issued sterling results so maybe our shares will be worth even more. The merger will create good synergies and both companies have good track records of paying divis. Very good day to be a holder!

Hope you are right wjc. It is down as I suspected 2.3% on no volume so I guess the mm's see it as negative. I love these niche shares with high barrier to entry but am wondering as I am in a tiny profit with dividends factored in and this just seems to undeperform I might be better switching to Tritax big box which will pay a divi of 6% yearly and up to 9% as well as a little capital growth.. The end of tapering could see shares like ACMG hit hard in a general malaise not to mind a market bloddbath. Much to ponder but I will wait until the RNS washes over before jumping ship.

Or perhaps someone interested in buying the company might pick it up. The Baltic dry and clean tanker indices have been hitting their highs for the year while the dirty tanker index has picked up strongly also.

Hmmm today's rns strikes me as rather odd. Is it a damage limitation exercise? Why not let GFI handle the orderly transfer of its 7% holding, Quite a gloss on the statement but states the company no longer considers ACM as an investment. Why can't GFI handle its own PR? It will be interesting to see the share price reaction to a possible overhang.

Big drop today after results. Couldn't see much wrong myself.Divi maintained and fairly strong order book. I guess some profit taking after a strong run up recently. I am back to almost breakeven but have received nice divis over the years. Worth holding for the divi.

A good read... suggests that ACMG may be shaping up for an acquisition, and forecasts profits of 10 million a year once the shipping cycle has turned.

What are these intangible assets they are amortising ?
Looks to be at a 50% rate as it was £7m last year and £3.8m this year leaving it at about £3.8m.

Pretty positive results, albeit another cautious impairment. It looks like they are well placed to hold the dividend through the cycle. Results should start improving over the next year or two from a very solid base. Happy to hold.
