21/7/2014 13:30 | So it is/was Weiss selling a few back to the Company; and to Badtime of course. Wonder whether we'll see an RNS from BT going the other way... | skyship
21/7/2014 10:41 | With the mkts the way they have been recently, I'd be more than happy with a 5% return over the next 6 months, so I'm holding on to all my ACD. | wirralowl
19/7/2014 20:13 | Agreed sky..indeed i added at 107.5 this week | badtime
19/7/2014 14:21 | BT - haven't added up the buybacks, but let's say 1.5m so far. For many ACD has been a good, secure cash vehicle. But the return from here for the next 5-6 months isn't that great - a likely 5% upside sure; but that is obviously insufficient for a small minority of players. Certainly enough for a substantial corner of my SIPP however... | skyship
19/7/2014 14:15 | France, especially South & SW France so much better than Spain. Spain is often too rustic, too run-down, too crowded. Depends where you are of course. However you look at it, France is certainly far more beautiful than Spain, the food far better, the ancient and well-preserved architecture more apparent. Spain too often parched and barren - you need to visit before Mid-June. Love Languedoc wines; but you have to love the wind to live there - it tends to blow 5days/week! | skyship
18/7/2014 18:32 | ....now that the State Pensions have kicked in we don't need the extra income My State Pension starts in 2 weeks time - nice feeling knowing that an equivalent amount of my fixed interest/dividend income can now be reinvested instead of being required for living expenses. I've been visiting Languedoc for the last couple of years as a family member has a house there (bit further south than where you are I think?) and I've been trying to convince my wife that France is a better holiday destination than Spain, so far without success. | redhill9
17/7/2014 18:34 | Glorious weather for working in ....lolC there were 2 large trades today...more buybacks...wonder who is selling | badtime
17/7/2014 16:27 | Sky The boat does get a bit hot - 30.7 on board now. My dad used to say his thermostat didn't work properly. Now I know what he meant - anything over 25 and the slightest exertion means excessive sweating. 2 locks and 2 swing bridges this morning meant a soaking shirt. So, even with your pool, I will not be visiting in summer! Going back to house for a week on Sunday - and the air conditioner so it is bound to get colder. Will try and have a look at SQL but no spare cash at present. | alanji
17/7/2014 16:10 | Alan - the next time you're passing this way...of course always welcome. How's life on the water - presumably bliss in this weather, or does the boat get too hot below deck. 36c here today - too darned hot for both people and plants. Just out of the pool which now registers 28c - our gite holidaymakers accepted we needed to swim on medical grounds! Actually, judicious use of fans and shutters has mercifully kept the house at a pleasant 24c. What do you think of SQN? | skyship
17/7/2014 14:07 | I am definitely your friend Sky! I'm sure you are looking forward to having the pool to yourselves. | alanji

16/7/2014 15:02 | Might just take you up on that. Don't know about the gazpacho....do they do cowin Bovril? Regulation continues to grind the life out of me, and my retirement date is getting closer! | tiltonboy
16/7/2014 14:28 | Gotta be a little quicker Tilts... Just come in from the terrace after a swim followed by a Gazpacho lunch - don't I love summers, especially when our gite holiday-makers go out for the day and the site is all ours! Decided no more letting next year - now that the State Pensions have kicked in we don't need the extra income - so the gite is just for families and friends - that includes you of course! | skyship
