05/3/2009 22:51 | I would steer well clear while this lawsuit hangs over the company. I used to know someone who worked there briefly. The lawsuit says "Homm held a secret 50% ownership interest" in Hunter World Markets. It wasn't that much of a secret, I knew about it. My friend was only there a short while and she says it was common knowledge amongst some people, though she can't be sure that the senior managers/directors knew. | ajnmx | |

16/2/2009 21:49 | Hi Maglite-I wouldn't get involved because effectively this Client, the Cascade Fund, is alledging fraud-none of the Newspapers covering this story mentioning that five letter word, they've all spoken of problems with illiquid holdings etc. I can't quantify maximum liability and the Company themselves say they may not be able to afford to defend themselves let alone pay any damages so I'd be gambling if I became involved-which I'm not going to do.I have heard figures banded around of £550mln. This looked a really exciting opportunity for a cheap entree in the hedge fund business, an exciting and potentially extremely lucrative business where the risk is borne not by the Company but the Investsors. regards | rainmaker |
