Took a dive in the recent volatility. Recovering now.

quite a pounding tday for ADN and other fund managers . Tempted to buy for a day trade but we are in a bear market at present

In my message 652 on the 18th of January, I indicated an end of year target of £5+, although we have seen significant withdrawals from investment trusts over the last fortnight mainly due to the surge in equity stocks in the 6months of this year, it is not surprising that banking and financial stocks will be reviewed with upgrade or downgrades, either way I see this as a buying opportunity to build ones portfolio.

I took the step of purchasing 4,800 on friday at 1-45pm to top up my portfolio to 14,600 shares, and will still increase on dips when the prospect arrives.

The outlook in Europe is not encouraging as little growth is forecast, and the withdrawel in stages of the Feds support will mean turbulence in the market I still believe this stock will have a good run before year end, as investment managers adjust their portfolios for 2014.


As a long term investor I will always buy on downgrades if the fundamentals are sound, I keep a portfolio of Non Risk stocks that have all performed well and moved ahead this year, and I expect to see further dividend increases and capital returns in 2014.

bounced off support helped by figures from USA and likely to bounce to about 440 level earlynext week if dow holds up

Downgraded by Bank of America today from 475p to 410p. Other brokers are looking for 470-550. Time will tell who is right but the H1 report on 29 April was solid enough even if a tad cautious about the future.

just trust the chart and what it is telling you I suppose . But with dow and FTSE in short term downtrends I assume fund managers' earnings get hit as based on value of portfolio's they manage . 397 approx is chart support and mayeb a bounce coming soon . If that level is broken , ADN could fall much further .

Aberdeeen Asset Management: Morgan Stanley raises target price from 478p to 548p retaining an overweight rating. Bank of America ups target price from 455p to 475p and leaves its neutral rating unchanged. JP Morgan increases target price from 532p to 573p and maintains an overweight rating. Citigroup ups target price from 455p to 470p, while its neutral rating remains unchanged. UBS moves target price from 500p to 520p and retains a buy recommendation.

Blue-chip index rose on Monday, buoyed by strong results from Aberdeen Asset Management, while sentiment was also supported by the resolution of political stalemate in Italy.

Aberdeen surged 5.3 percent in early deals after announcing a 25 percent jump in first-half revenues, saying it would pay a dividend of 6 pence per share - a 36 percent increase on 2012.

Long over due brilliant day for ADN today! Is this just in line with the rest of the markets or has the city got a sniff of Mondays trading update? I am hoping the latter!

hammered today along with some other stocks but hopefully will recover next week .
