Yes, investment trust buyers seem back from holiday, though looks like patience will be required regarding chinese and russian ITs. Now of course I'm getting nervous with discount to NAV droppping below 8%, I hope NAV re-rating continues apace. With their discounts exceeding 15%, my purchases of CYN, BRWM, BRSC, and DNDL over the summer are also coming good, but I think we may shortly see the end of these "bargain" combinations of high discounts and proven management teams.

Become one of my core holdings, alongside JRS & JMG. Outperforming them both currently as the message on asian smaller companies is becoming known. I particularly like the geographical spread of AAS investments, as per Trustnet analysis. Didn't feel too vulnerable adding more around 500p, as appears to be less volatile than others on the TA graphs.

Not many investments are just short of their all time high but this is.

With so many of my "quality" investment trust holdings, namely MCP, PHI, JMG, JMC, NII, running much closer to NAV, this looked rather attractive at >15% discount to NAV. If it's true we've turned the corner and the Far East banks weren't burnt in the same way, surely the smaller companies need a look in. Since I also liked the geographical spread as per Trustnet website, I've added this.

SST is currently much better value for a similar NAV performance.
IMHO

Tried this morning (Wed) but ask on warrants was 150 with no trades in either shares or warrants and no movement in share price Didn't fancy it.

Well I bought at 148 on 15th June and as I use a rising 7% stop-loss I was taken out at 151.23 last Friday so I am still reasonably pleased, but not as pleased as I was last Tuesday!
Dow has held up well today and if there is a recovery in the Hang Seng in the morning I may go back in if I can buy around 146.5

Steady but not very exciting performer, very small discount to NAV considering present volatility of Asian markets.
No premium, liquid market, and reasonable spread on the warrants though and these could soar if sentiment changed.
I bought AASW a couple of weeks ago when I failed to get any EFSW and am reasonably pleased.

The warrant looks much more attractive than the share.
With gearing of 2 times and only 9p out of the money.

held the warrants for a while, I tend to agree with the others here they are excellent value. The trust is well managed and has protected NAV well when other asian trusts have suffered over the last 18 months.

I bought the warrents at 32p and will be holding right through the recovery. I hope it will compensate for holding DELW warrent for 3 years without a penny in profit! But, dated at 2010 as well, I live in hope, if they make £1 I will be a millionaire, well, not quite!
