...yawnnn..

Bluesound....who are they then ?

---

(1 thing 7DIG imo has to fix is getting stuff to be global & getting income from it. Not easy, I have no great ideas. eg. BBC radio 1, probably the most popular channel that Radioplayer offers
But
Only available to ppl with IP-server located in UK

---

2 of my shares up at least 5% today....up & onwards...

At Universal Music Group, we are focused on delivering the highest-quality music experiences to fans around the world,” said Ty Roberts, Chief Technology Officer at Universal Music Group. “At CES we will showcase next-generation premium features that are increasingly in high demand by consumers including studio-quality sound and a treasure trove of high-definition album art and other images.”

I would say they have signed up to MQA.

..profitability...

Sorry Loobrush but you have missed some news...
They already said they wont achieve that and expecting for breakeven on quartely basis at EBITDA
..that is a failure imo wrt previous claim to be profitable

----

Radioplayer Worldwide
...yawn....BBC Radio 1 is not available via Radioplayer for webusers located outside of uk
..so much for 'Worldwide' !!
Imho one needs to 'interprete' what SC says/writes !!

imho the internet radio stations mostly offer themselves via any platform.....so imho they are not exclusive with Radioplayer

Agreed.

Since the MQA content has not been available in volume yet their has been little point in announcing deals.
This business could produce profits in excess of ten million pounds a year if it can lift ALL its turnover and produce 85% margins. Revenues would also need to more than double. In the world of streaming licensing deals that would still be chicken feed and not that difficult.
They have not produced the goods in the past and it might be the same this time round. I personally believe investors will buy big time if proof of a profit is delivered.
Has to be an outside chance of a part or full takeover or some other kind of deal £7M valuation is extremely good value if profits arrive.

I bought for long term fast growing high margin recurring revenues.

TRADING UPDATE

Last year trading update was on 21 January so I would expect one around the same time this year----so not long to wait for some news.

Maybe this is why there has not been much news lately and it will all be released at once-hopefully they are now trading profitably as they said in sept (We have continued to improve the quality of our revenue base, remain confident of our commitment to achieve profitability by the year-end and expect the Group to be profitable for the full year 2017. )

If they can get to this point I think shares will get major rerating.
Bring it on.

100 companies most if not all, will be B2B.

No wonder 7Dig need to expand their licensing legal team.🎓

June 2016:

Bob Stuart, MQA: “There's much more in the pipeline that we can't talk about yet, except to say there's probably 100 companies concerned! It takes larger companies longer to do things, but we're talking to some very big names. But you could look at Onkyo and Pioneer and think they're going to do the rest of the range? That might be a reasonable assumption.

Of course, all the popular formats are supported including MQA, AAC, Ogg, MP3, Bluetooth aptX

MQA is the new standard, (ACC ,Ogg,MP3 Bluetooth) all old hat.

NAD ELECTRONICS has a license. Guess who set that up.?

You'll get better music recommendations based on what you add. And you can listen in full on Deezer, Spotify or YouTube"

...why bother directing users to your own services when you can send them away to use the competition !!

phps its not surprising that 7DIG has reported reduced music sales !!

Of the 11 companies at the show just one (MQA) provides a new Hi-Res listening platform.

All three of the big music labels will I believe be ready to offer the service with their content by the spring.

The penny will eventually drop. MQA"S 🗝 to success.

7Dig should be flat out doing licensing deals on behalf of MQA.

CES 2017 starts tomorrow.

One premium audio area in particular Sony plans to expand upon is high-res audio, which the company hopes can become more mainstream. For the first time at CES, Hi-Res Audio will have its own booth (14506 Central Hall), which Sony will share with the three major music labels (Sony, Universal and Warner), along with hardware partners including AstellaKern, Elae, Samsung, dCSm Audioquest, Onkyo, dts, MQA, and the Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences.

IMHO over the next 6 months investors will receive news of the Big three music labels going live with MQA on what could be new platforms and services.

No music artist will want their music played on a second rate, existing 20 year old platform.

Very exciting times ahead.🤓

The reason they went to 7Dig for the licensing deals may well be due to the fact that both the top dogs would be totally out of their depth.

Based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, Meridian Audio was founded by Bob Stuart and Allen Boothroyd in 1977. They continue to lead the company with Stuart heading all technological developments and Boothroyd leading the design team. Since the company’s inception, all Meridian products have been conceived, engineered and built in the UK.

Investors can't buy shares on the Stockmarket in MQA

They can however gain some exposure to this massive new technology through its close ties with 7Dig.

MQA

In 2015, Meridian Audio Ltd spun off MQA into its own company, MQA Limited, set up for the purpose in July 2014 and based at the Meridian address in Huntingdon, UK.

Looks like 7dig are doing a rather good job of creating value from MQA.

JD: Any opinions on MQA? It doesn't make you want to revisit digital?

JH: No opinion other than it looks like a really clever technology. I don't know how it sounds but it's a clever way to combine everything and be compatible. I've heard some horrible stories about MQA and licensing. They're brutal with their licensing for manufacturers who want to use it and employ it. They sting you. For the small guy like me, I don't think I could afford to get into that business.
