09/5/2016 16:50 | Each to own views but for me any company paying Edison to promote the company shares is a negative indicator. They promoted ILX in range of 20p to 30p/share ...which then had 2-3 cash rescue share issues....at lower prices....last big one was at 10p as effectively taken over....when changed its name to Progility and now below 1p. | smithie6
09/5/2016 16:15 | would be nice to see another institution coming on board here or Miton / Henderson upping their holdings. 7dig should also update their substantial holdings page as its woefully out of date. (and in breach of aim rule 26 ) | wh1spa
09/5/2016 13:08 | Read Edison's note on 7 DIGITAL GROUP PLC (7DIG), out this morning, by visiting hxxps://www.research "7digital has announced seven new contract wins with a lifetime value of over £3.9m so far this year and news last week that its largest competitor, Omnifone, has been put into administration could lead to additional market share opportunities. On a FY17e consensus P/E of 8.2x, we believe the shares do not reflect the large and growing market opportunity..." | thomasthetank1

09/5/2016 11:25 | Not necessarily so-the market will invest in the right company. At the moment it seems that a number in this sector have over extended themselves and gone bust -snowite and omnifone etc-whereas 7Digital looks to be heading to profitabilty and two funds recently announced holdings. Seems to me that big money is available once it becomes clearer who the winner(s) are likely to be. | loobrush
09/5/2016 10:46 | Omnifone £38M turnover and 7M PAT loss. Much bigger turnover than 7DIG. No one was willing to put in some money to support the business. Not a good sign for the sector imo otherwise the financial sector would have jumped at putting in cash & owning a part of it. | smithie6

09/5/2016 07:13 | "7digital (AIM:7DIG), the digital music and radio services company, is pleased to congratulate its close partner MQA on the announcement on Friday of its long-term licensing deal with Warner Music Group. The milestone agreement, which will see WMG's catalogue made available in studio master quality, marks a significant step towards achieving industry-wide adoption of the MQA high resolution music technology. 7digital became the first B2B platform provider to offer MQA earlier this year through Onkyo's hi-res audio store onkyomusic. The Company remains the only B2B provider capable of offering MQA." | michaelmouse
07/5/2016 22:51 | Some nice posts folks :-) Wonder how long it would take Guevera to migrate those ex Omnifone businesses to 7Digital ?? In order to remain competitive and not have a mass exit of customers they need to act quickly, already being in bed as it were with 7Digital in some territories, this really is a very big opportunity I expect them to execute We shall see S | sweenoid
07/5/2016 17:08 | iainbarclay - Excellent first blog btw. Keep it going. Here's my thoughts:- | michaelmouse
07/5/2016 11:48 | People need to evaluate why omnifone has had to go into administration, Guvera, Pono and the like aren't exactly setting the world alight or generating income for the platform providers. The only decent client omnifone has is Sirius XM. The upside for 7digital is more likely less competition in the market than picking up failing clients off omnifone - focus on the upside here should be on whether the lack of one competitor helps prop up fees for their existing and new client contract negotiations? The other main competitor for 7digital for platform and service provision is a US company medianet, which is another accident waiting to happen. | bdroop
07/5/2016 11:25 | Omifone going bust might be a real bonus to 7DIG if they can pick up some of the £38 million business they had as companies look to other providers. Might be a windfall for them. That's the second company hitting the skids as 7DIG heads to profitability. | loobrush
07/5/2016 09:45 | The other news from last night, our new partner musical.ly is on the verge of securing serious funding... | iainbarclay
07/5/2016 09:32 | And in related news, apparently some Guvera country sites were down last night due to Omnifone's administration - 7DIG currently power some parts of Guvera (e.g.. India), but not all... Some tweets about it gathered here... | iainbarclay |
