Good point dealit - that contract had already been announced. The crux here at the moment is the contract renewals with the 2 major UK customers - if there is positive news on that, this will fly

A lot of people follow their portfolio and buy it like for like - they bought, so others follow

Cannot see why a contract win announcement on the 8th October would increase the share price today by 21%, IMHO.

The Company has signed a four year deal, worth around £1.1m, with one of Sweden's largest passenger transport operators, to support on-vehicle mobile surveillance. In addition, a Framework Agreement for the supply, installation and maintenance of systems, covering 850 Stockholm buses, has been extended for two and a half years.
House broker FinnCap welcomed the news but decided to hold back on earnings forecasts until details of contract renewals with two major UK customers are known.

Has this been tipped somewhere? Can't see a reason for this morning's rise

At this stage most trades are sellers however while the share price has dropped from highs this morning it is still holding up.

Are these sells being taken up by a buyer(s)?

I agree with fugwit opinion reference the announcement and hope we hear more wins like this in 2014 and next year. 3 to 4 orders like this will do the share price a world of good.

Shanklin, in addition to Brian's explanation it is worth considering who the client is in Sweden, I view it as worth knowing that that relationship is developing nicely, particularly when you consider the recent small ecomanager contract they also picked up in France, post the closure of the french office.

Given the size of snr mgmt holdings they can hardly be blamed for letting the market know, I am certainly grateful.....and will be more so if there is a little follow through in share price

C21 is a £5m market cap company, and it has just signed a 4 year support agreement and 2.5 year extension to its framework supply and maintenance agreement with a major 850 bus fleet. That sounds significant and RNS-able to me.

The value of the support agreement is £1.1m over that period, but the presumably main revenue under the supply and maintenance agreement is undisclosed, as they won't yet know the call-off rate.

What matters of course is not revenue passing through the books, but margin. Different types of revenue can carry markedly different levels of profitability. This announcement is clearly very positive, but unquantified in financial significance.

Exactly Shanks. However, market seems to like it early doors.

Why was this worthy of an RNS? It only relates to 2.5% of last year's annual sales.

£250k a year for 4 years might help reduce costs of the office although I thought they had closed European opps to focus on the two big contracts?

No idea (don't follow this closely as exited ages ago), but they would have negotiated the sell at a price to a buyer (BOD or ANO)

You could be right they're sells, but wouldn't such large sells have decimated the share price? It hasn't moved that much in recent days

Not buys by the look of the share price Wonder if Watkins is selling? So much rest on two contracts that any wobble on these and it's close to terminal IMO

Another big trade after hours today - this time 1,525,000 at 5.2p. Any thoughts?

Hard to tell, although if they were sells I doubt if the MMs would be paying over the odds - the 1,000,000 today went through at 5.21p, so .21 over the bid. Also, price was 4.75 - 6p for a while the other day which seems a bit odd. My take on it is that a buy order is being filled

Some large after hours trades gone through past 3 days - 2 x 1,500,000, 1 x 500,000 and 1 x 1,000,000. Something afoot??
